Moved here last year from northern Illinois, living south of Huntsville. Love it so much! LOTS of jobs, lots of things to do, weather is so much better (especially after many years of upper midwest winters lol) and we have a much better quality of life than up north. Definitely a blessing for us!
@Koopa it's okay.. I mean it's very sma i have been trying to find different things to do here. The hikes and waterfalls have been the best part so far. Thanks for asking 🙂
I made the move this summer. I left downtown Seattle, lived in central Washington for a decade. Now we're a little over an hr away from Huntsville. We love it here in the southeast. I'm always pleasantly pleased when I meet like minded people that left the Pacific Coast for the south.
I’m from the south and left for Washington and I’ve been sad ever since ! The weather up here sucks and the people are even worse ! It’s expensive and just dreadful !!!!!! And it’s expensive
@@MrHuntsville I saw the beautiful skyline one on TV when my sister was watching the House Wives of Huntsville and I was surprised it looked so nice...
Nice to know! My daughter was accepted to A&M and I may relocate with her. Glad to hear good things about AL especially coming from California. Exciting!
Hi Teré, thank you for this video. Im also from WA. Tacoma area but currently living in CA. Considering moving to Huntsville this Spring. Im planning to get my real estate license as well. I get a lot of negativity when I mention moving to AL to local people on the "west coast" so this video was helpful! Would love to see more!
Hey Rica! Huntsville is so awesome! Please let me know if you do! I have more videos coming this next week. My family used to laugh when I mentioned Alabama now they all LOVE IT HERE!
Huntsville is a nice place to live. But because it’s Alabama, people have their negative stereotypes. A guy from Chicago who came to our job meeting to train us told us that “Huntsville Alabama is not like the rest of Alabama”. Many people here are from other states so you won’t feel alone. Money to be made all over. Enjoy before it gets too full!
I live a few miles south of Huntsville and go there often. Today I enjoyed the lovely spring-like weather by walking through the beautiful Huntsville Botanical Gardens.
Hello there. This is a comment from a foreigner. I am from Ecuador and I am married to a Huntsvillian, that is the reason I am here. I came from the capital of my country that is nice but crazy, after living 3 years in Huntsville I am not sure if I want to go back to my home town. There are many things I love from Huntsville: it is very green, it is clean and organized, people is nice and well educated, I feel completely safe here, the weather is nice even when I am not very good handling extreme weather (seen from a tropical girl), cultural and outdoors activities are great. The city is growing so much, it has a lot to offer, all I ask for is that it does not get to a point of one of those big and crazy cities.
Huntsville Huntsville Huntsville! Unlimited Job opportunities here, much more room for growth than Houston and also a more relaxed pace. Mix between big city and small town feel
That’s actually not the main reason prices are going up. It’s a nation wide issue with supply shortage of homes and new homes being built. Huntsville growth does effect prices though! That’s why it’s good to grab a home now!
Hey Grant, It is pretty good here! Huntsville is a very progressive city and I’ve lived in Seattle, Tampa, Dallas and Huntsville is the best that I’ve lived in.
I used to live in St. Louis. You’ll LOVE the weather and the nature around Huntsville including the land trust at Monte Sano. Just a completely different thing than I was used to. So pretty. It’s already nice enough outside right now most nights that I’ve gone camping regularly these past couple weekends. Also it’s much safer.
@@JenNotZ I actually lived in Tampa in 2019 before moving back to Huntsville! I think you’ll definitely love huntsville! Let me know and I’d be happy to show you guys around!

I’ve dealt with more racism in Seattle, Wa than I have in Huntsville AL. I’d advise to do more research. And Huntsville is definitely not the Deep South
After you’re 50 years old meaning your life definitely slows down plus because of the internet your basically connected to the world there’s no reason to live in a shjt hole like Seattle or any other major big city. You make a lot of good points but the most important point is the healthy more balanced lifestyle someone will live with a beautiful home at affordable prices. I’m ready to sell my Miami home because the truth is these big city’s are not fun anymore there infested with scammers the women are sharks and the drugs are everywhere. Alabama seems like the perfect choice.
If you like thug garbage, move to Huntsville Alabama. I moved outside of that crime hole years ago. I will be moving to Florida Pensacola/Gulf Breeze area in a few months. I can't wait. Beaches, nicer people, little to no thug garbage.
