You proved that hit detection is an issue. There is another content creator that says hit detection is not an issue at all and it's just the internet server that they're using. He's like oh. I want punches to miss because that's realistic
I've seen the argument of "fighters only land 30% in real life". But they are not missing shots purposely. If they are landing at a certain percentage, credence needs to go for their opponent for being able to hold them to 30%. Being able to be accurate and pick a part someone's defense is a skillset. I shouldn't be whiffing punches just because "fighters don't land 100% in real life". The best the hit detection, IMO, has been in Undisputed, is how it was during the Online Beta, prior to early access. Headmovement from the lean was viable, etc. Blocking worked well and catching+shooting was viable as well as a counter method. The game still needed polish with punch animations, stamina, etc, etc. But in terms of punch accuracy and hit detection etc, it felt good. I wouldn't use the "server they are using" as an argument when the game is P2P. And I do all of my labbing OFFLINE, and it still shows some issues. But it is what it is. All of that said; I know of the creator you're referring to. I am actually a big supporter of his and I agree with his sentiments on this game by large. But that particular argument is very bad.
@@im_cold_blooded I said the same thing. Basically I've seen other games with hit detection issues but I also know the company fixes it after a while I hate missing body shots when I'm right in front of the guy and it doesn't hit and he didn't even block it

@@keeganjacobs5913 I play on default. The dodges unfortunately aren’t working as intended right now (sideways). During early access they were incredibly useful. They’re perfect on some (Loma - see that video for how I manipulate his traits and utilize his steps) and broken on others (Holmes, my go to in Ranked play. Damn new step out the ring he goes so far!).
So I been labbing the camera angles for the past week & I was labbing that power rear uppercut to see the tracking….So I used the Over The Shoulder & I got it to land 1/3 times from both camera angles…. The tracking goes so far inside, shooting towards your opponent’s rear hip…. I was using David Adeleye vs Otto Wallin…..I got it to land every time & I was gonna make a short about it but then I had to look into the differences on why it landed….Wallin IS A SOUTHPAW….Which means his rear hip/leg is fighting for that lead foot position with the orthodox fighter…. And when I went southpaw with Adeleye & switch Wallin to orthodox, it rear uppercut landed EVERY single time in range….Honestly, Adeleyes’s orthodox rear power uppercut animation was mo-capped for a southpaw fighter because it landed every time💯💯 Tell me am I tripping or on the money with that💯💯🥊🥊
I don't think you're tripping at all bro. I think a lot of people also don't take into account some of the original videos of ESBC. A lot of the "head movement" things they showed (except for the lunges, those were def canned) were idle sway animations. People remember Early Access - But do they remember the Online Beta prior to Early Access? The big complaint people had in the Open Beta was that punch tracking could be tuned a bit because HEAD MOVEMENT WAS TOO STRONG. And fighters were also missing punches against THE IDLE SWAYS! A lot of what was shown in the early ESBC footage wasn't manually done. That said, the best the punch tracking has been, to me, was the way it was during the original Online Beta. I had zero issues with the tracking. Head movement felt good and it forced you to pick your spots. Counters had to be done in real time. you could catch and shoot beautifully to open windows as well. Leaning while blocking to take advantage of the six axis worked like a charm as well. They've taken a few steps backwards. One thing that is abundantly clear right now is that positioning and shot selection is really important right now and I believe that is intentional. However, against guys like Roy Jones, and a few others, it feels broken for sure. I miss the way the jab functioned on release, too. It bled through the guard a LOT. I circumvented it by planting my feet. Prior to the first patch, i noticed you had to plant the feet on the high guard to consistently block the jab or else you were leaving yourself open to RNG. I jab so much less now than before. The body jab inadvertently became buffed after the first patch due to how everything else became different to touch cleanly with.
Also, with the camera angles. Over The Shoulder is a pressure fighters best friend. SO much easier to secure that 180 degrees on the opponent and press at full speed. The close camera isn't too bad either. It sways faster than the zoom out one does, meaning you usually only have to hold right or left (depending what side of screen you're on) more often than finding a weird angle on the left stick.
@@im_cold_blooded I wish I woulda able to see what the game was like in Early Access….I definitely trust your judgement & analysis of any issues on here….It’s these other dudes I’m always worried about lol I also think that “punch tracking/hit detection” is replicated through the “accuracy rating”….Because SCI addressed accuracy in the tweet, not “punch tracking/hit detection”….Which dudes got excited but I don’t think they know what SCI is referring to (I could very well be wrong)….Meaning they’re programming punches to miss & punch selection along with positioning plays a major factor….So I think the next step will be is for SCI to tune the “punches landing” through guards & all because of the criticism & feedback (I don’t think they should touch it tbh, clean up the clear issues like Adeleye’s uppercut)….So I think the accuracy rating won’t mean as much (who knows if it means anything) if they patch it up…. I love the idea if you’re on the move then your high guard is not as tight & that I can slip my jab in there….Forces you to be conscious of space/range & also mindful to your footwork💯💯🥊🥊 Also, what you found TO ME IS BROKEN because why does a punch work on a southpaw fighter but not orthodox….
@@im_cold_blooded I think this is a major issue that no one has really spoke on yet & maybe haven’t noticed it…. So I was labbing & doing my research about the different stats & traits….I created David Benevidez & gave him a 50 MOVEMENT SPEED to see what’s the difference….The MOVEMENT SPEED rating has VERY LITTLE to do with regular movement around the ring with the LEFT STICK (I even tried numerous times with multiple fighters racing each other from post to post lol)….It’s ONLY for dodging (any direction), slipping, forward/backwards/ side steps, actual defensive maneuvers…. So basically if you never tried to evade anyone, you couldn’t tell that DB had a 50 movement speed, which is INSANE….SCI gotta fix that ASAP because what’s the purpose of the rating if it only applies to CERTAIN movements & not all🤷🏿♂️💯💯 But I get it too because in career mode, you start very low overall & it would suck moving like a snail all around the ring….
