- 2014 was a significant year for the acclaimed photographer Fred Herzog. Among other accomplishments, he received the prestigious Audain Prize in the Visual Arts; and one of his photographs was printed on Canadian stamps featuring prominent Canadian photography. This short documentary highlights some of what makes Fred Herzog and his work so distinctive.
RIP Mr. Herzog and thank you for your photos. You captured the Vancouver that I was born into which in so many ways is gone. It’s so very hard to describe that Vancouver to those who aren’t from here or are too young. I can reference your photos to show those people what it was and what it really looked like. I always find myself looking for my parents or grand parents in so many of these images. They could have been there.
This man was gifted by nature unbelievable pictures God bless him

Beautiful work
Дякую, дуже класне відео, гарні світлини авторські
Not enough superlatives to garnish upon this genius. Vancouver was so lucky to have Fred Herzog trod about her early days, capturing in Kodachrome what no one else even considered. R.I.P. & Cheers to Fred Herzog!
The colors!!!!!!!❤
Beautiful
Rest in peace Fred (1930 - 2019).
What a master
Lovely video.
excellent.
Did you make this Bijan? It's well done!
Unless Fred took a trip to Newfoundland the image of boys play-fighting at 4:15 of this video the image taken is not his.
Can someone please tell me the name of the photograph at 1:35?
since he didn't work for clients, I assume he approached galleries to sell his work.
Why do I feel like eating a small wholemeal loaf after watching this?
If you make the music just a little bit louder you could succeed in drowning out the talking completely!
Bear Hawk I heard everything clearly without a problem. Maybe you just need to get the shit out of your ears so you can hear properly?
Too bad there isn't more street photography in color
