- In this episode, we're in Staniel Cay in the Bahamas! We've never been to this beautiful island nation and we have to say that we were blown away!
Never have we seen water so blue, sand so white and... palm trees so... palmy?
Anyways, this place is incredible.
We stayed at Embrace Resort and basically booked all of our activities through their tour company 3N's Exuma Vacations.
This included a golf cart to rip around the island, a day tour to see all of the highlights in the area, and even our own boat to explore the other Cays! It was one of the best and most romantic trips we've had in all of our travels.

Great presentation! Please give details about how you got to Staniel from...(was it Miami?) via plane. I'm having difficulty finding clear info on which airline(s) will actually fly into Staniel, and on which days. I get the distinct feeling that connections from the large, stateside airlines to the local, final destination carriers are not well-coordinated. Very frustrated in my when attempts to plan this trip. Thank you!

Thanks! You don't need to have a captain, we were by ourselves, but you can hire one. Boats can be rented from the Yacht Club, or if you're staying at Embrace Resort (like we were), you can speak with them and they can arrange one.

Awesome! Glad to hear that 😀 We easily found food at all times of the day. Embrace Resort now has an onsite restaurant, but when we visited, we ate our meals at the Yacht club. Options such as: salads, burgers, tacos, seafood, chicken and more were on offer. Food was really good.
How did you get from Miami to Staniel cay. What flight? I’m looking to go on vacation to staniel cay for a week but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get to staniel cay for the week not just a day trip

Been three times and going back in may but have never brought a drone. Did you register it? Did they ask at customs?
No issues with bringing a drone. BUT, since the planes take off and fly so low around this island, it's important to be very carful

How much is it to rent the boat? And do you need experience or a license to use it?
No, you don't need experience or any special licenses to rent a boat. The price depends on how long you book for, which type of boat, etc. There are local operators on the island and you can ask at your hotel. We booked through Embrace Resort.
