I've been subscribed to your UA-cam channel probably since 2013 and you always bring it. I'm from DC and I would recognize some of the roads you would test drive the vehicles. I relocated to Northern Alabama almost 5 years now and I still watch your test drive videos.I love this 3X Hummer. Be safe out there and have a safe holiday.
I'm a Tesla fan, through and through. I plan on getting a cybertruck when I move back east. But I have to give props to GM for making this work. It's not my cup-o-tea, but I see them around and I see people are excited about them, so nice work. I honestly hope GM manages to pull out of their apparent power dive and become successful.
Nearly 9000 lbs that goes 0 to 60 in under 4 seconds Whomever is on the receiving end of an accident with this thing will probably just explode or become a nice car pancake
Instead of giving them their props for the impressive feat. of engineering that is to move something so large & heavy so quickly and controlled - you change the narrative and claim it’s a danger in the event of an accident instead which is the case for every vehicle on the road. Y’all can’t admit that *gm* has accomplished what y’all said they wouldn’t be able to. I’ll never understand how it became cool to be a hater. But COPE HARDER, guys. 🤷🏽♂️
@@G-Rated Getting an EV moving is a non-issue, every EV accelerates fast from instant torque. This 'impressive feat of engineering' as you say is just GM stuffing 3 electric motors and a 170KW battery pack into a 9000 lb box. Closest comparison is the Cybertruck in which it's nearly 2000lbs lighter for similar space, triple motors as well, quicker acceleration for what it's worth, tows more and gets equal to better effective range (comparing them on car and drivers tests)
@@chibbyylol I don’t want to hear “every EV does this” when this vehicle has a total of one competitor and isn’t as large or heavy as the Hummer. Now that the dealer has some inventory to move I’m finally starting to see them on the road. Up until a few months ago they had a $500 dealer markup for “catalytic converter VIN etching” (?). But I think they’re actually starting to deal a little on them.
For sure! The GMC Hummer EV has a super powerful electric drivetrain, with up to 1,000 horsepower! It can go from 0 to 60 mph in about 3 seconds, which is wild for a truck. Plus, it has features like CrabWalk, allowing it to move diagonally, and a cool infinity roof with removable panels.
I hope we get an H3 EV eventually. A bronco/wrangler sized one of these w the same performance/capabilities wld be epic. GM should have saved this one for later.
I think GM could make a fantastic body on frame SUV bssed on Colorado to compete with 4Runne and call it Blazer rather than continuing to pump BS EV products to the market.
That will take alot of money and wont guarantee sales That market is red hot with competitors of all price ranges -Wrangler -Bronco -4Runner -Land Cruiser -Defender -G Wagon -Scout in the near future
@@kizo172 Im simply staying GM would have to make an investment to compete in this segment and they might fail Its not as simple as making a rebodied Colorado...if anything that would put people off because GM already has a horrible reputation when it comes to rebadges and rebodies People want a bespoke platform because it means that alot of effort was used Rebadging/rebodying reeks of cheapness and not giving a fuck about the product or the customer...which people already feel when it comes to GM
@joecool9739 the investment required to make an SUV out of a truck is minimal compared to this over engineered and none function EV apartment building. 4runner and new rebadged Prado (Landcruiser) are literally Tacoma truck. Toyota sells Landcruiser at x2 the price with a years of waiting list.
I think you are off base with your BS EV comment. Additionally, body on frame SUVs are a dying breed because they are simply inefficient. The fact is that fewer and fewer folks want body on frame SUVs, and they are therefore dying. Where EVs will go is still not known but GM is making some fairly interesting ones. If that is not your cup of tea, then there are plenty of dino juice options to choose from.
I really hope GM has the common sense and courage to stay the course with their EV plans instead of bending to the knee of the upcoming administration. They have a nice lineup of EVs right now, with more coming. While I miss the Camaro, it wasn’t selling well and it made sense to discontinue it and move forward with future plans. I see Blazer EVs all over my area and it will probably be my next vehicle, after they work the bugs out.
So crazy how the screens for this thing made it look next gen when it came out now it looks like a hyundai Relying on screens as design is going to backfire soon enough since every company adds 2-20" of screen every year
@BrightNights645 There is a legitimate use case for semi trucks. They also require special training and licensing to operate. This vehicle exists solely for wealthy people to show off at the expense of everyone else on/in the road.
