Highly recommend Lynn Canyon Park instead of Capilano, if you are actually on a budget. It’s free, accessible by transit, and even has a suspension bridge too!
I’m from Vancouver and you really hit all of my favourite things! Porteau cove is a hidden gem of the city that most locals don’t even know about, but it’s my absolute favourite stop
We loved camping at Porteau Cove! It was so beautiful there and such a great location (and cheap!) thanks for watching, hope you have a great weekend. Phoebe x
Porteau Cove has great diving as they sunk some ships there. Also because it is on Howe Sound you may see Orcas or other Whales.Seals were there when I was there last week.Great video guys.
Hey Ms. Phoebe, your video is so helpful..we're planning a quick vancouver tour this weekend. Im glad i saw your videos. And you are so cute 😍 when you tried to eat the poutin. 😊
tip: Check out the Lynn Valley suspension bridge, it's free! And if you go in the summer, there are plenty of beautiful swimming holes so bring your trunks.
Little Grey Box curious question have you been to Victoria BC on Vancouver island? What's the difference living in victoria or vancouver if you are from vancouver?
What a gorgeous spot to live - it must be so great having a big city AND mountains all on your doorstep! Thanks so much for watching this video. Hopefully we did your hometown justice - we loved it! Have a great day, Phoebe x
There are some places you'd need a car for if you wanted to visit them but if that's not something you want to do, just choose the spots you can visit on foot :)
Went college in Vancouver 16 years ago Love Vancity and back then was affordable, I and went back 2 years ago to run the marathon, big surprise now is super expensive everything, would say even more expensive than Europe!!! Was in shock the entrances are way higher, anyways one of my favorite places on earth!!!! Awesome video!!!
Hi, born and raised in Vancouver and thought I should mention a few tips. Like many others have said, the Capilano Suspension Bridge is expensive. Around $30 for an adult. But there’s a free shuttle you can take from downtown. Also it’s important to note that Granville Island is expensive. It’s free to walk around but the vendors (crafts and food) are expensive.
Bravo! This has been my home since 1983 and I would live no other place. Yes it has its ups and downs and the cost-of-living certainly is a top of the list (downs). But the incredible array of things you can do and the scenery, cleanliness and the climate make it a very livable city. Still experiencing growing pains but I think any up-and-coming city has to go through this transition. You did a fantastic job and you're eminently watchable...... Your boyfriend's a lucky fella 😋. Cheers!
Hello! Thank you so much for watching 😊🙌🏻 Wow! ‘Eminently watchable’ has to be one of the most beautifully worded compliments I’ve ever seen! Thank you so much for the kindness and support, it’s greatly appreciated. Have a lovely day - Phoebe x

If you're on a budget forget Capilano suspension.(a family package with no transportation, eats, etc is killer) Ill save you a small fortune. 2 adults and 2 kids will cost you $160.00 bucks. Go to Lynn Canyon on local transit. It also has a fantastic suspension bridge. A waterfall that locals jump from. (dont people die) but you can swim in the mountain streams below the falls. Bring a lunch you can also hike around. Ive been there when indigenous first Nations people drum, dance and sing, sometimes.Way less people, beautiful, more to do, and cost is 0 except for 3 bucks for the bus! Which will drop you 5 min from the park. Ask me Ill try to answer your question.

Thanks for promoting my beautiful country :)
Thank you so much for watching, I'm so happy you liked the video. We LOVED visiting your country - our road trip from Vancouver to Calgary was a highlight of our whole year! Thanks again, have a great day - we share a new travel video each Friday. Phoebe x
@@travelforphoebe you passed through my city on you're way Merritt B.C. Will def watch your vids. Cheers!
Holy crap! What is the max amount of people allowed on that bridge 1:22?
hahaha I imagine it's pretty sturdy! I just get funny in crowds sometimes and felt like I couldn't get away from all the people. Over the other side of the bridge though there are all these other smaller bridges in the trees with far less people - that was really lovely! P x
Nice video!
Hello! Thank you so much for watching - have a great day. Phoebe x
If you want to see lots and enjoy good food, expensive tho, go to the “ Top of Vancouver” restaurant where it revolves 360 degrees. There you see a lot of Vancouver, StanleyPark, plus the harbour, seaplanes and the ski resorts on the North Shore mountains! 👍🍺💕
Hello! Thanks so much for watching - have a great day! Phoebe x

Little Grey Box 📦 my pleasure 😇
As a local I’d just like to say that Lynn Valley suspension bridge is free and there’s tons of amazing trails in the area!
Also be careful when you’re on the edge of gas town and China town because once you get closer to the water and Hastings st it’s not a safe area to hang...
Thanks so much for sharing your local insight Heather 😍🙌🏻💛 we really appreciate it! Thanks for watching, have a great weekend. Phoebe x
Great video! Vancouver is one of our favourite cities--a great place to visit and explore.
Thank you so much!! I'm so happy you liked the video - it was my first time in Vancouver and I LOVED it. It's so beautiful. I'd love to go back in winter and see it from a different perspective. Thanks again, have a great day! We share a new travel video each Friday. Phoebe x
Hello! Thanks so much for watching and sharing your thoughts. Have a great day! Phoebe x
Capilano is quieter on rainy 🌧 days
That is a fantastic tip!
I love you 😍"little gray box" and also I will write all your videos from the beginning 👉94👈. I support you very much 💙because you really provide more than wonderful content 😍 Greetings to you, you are the best role model in the whole world.😘

Do you recommend renting a car? I'll be with my family for about 5 days.
Hello! We rented a car as we were doing a road trip out through the Rockies afterwards. We were really glad we had the car in Vancouver, it was so easy to get around and meant we were able to see/do more. We were just two people, I imagine it would be even more useful with a family :) Phoebe x
@@travelforphoebe Awesome, did you have hard time looking for parking space?
