This is literally what people mean when they say purple always has a generic engine.
Any new deck that gets made, the first question to look at is how good does it work with the best engine purple already has.
People despised vaccine for being specific, purple needs things to be specific just like it.
As you put it, we continue to pay for EX5's crimes. The dark animal engine is just so efficient, it's disgusting.
I'm still not giving up hope on the Knightmon tribal build, though. It's got a lot of good floating, protection, and even tamer removal. Yes, it's slower, but it has a lot of fun tools to make up for it.
This deck is the SAUCE lol I immediately built it from scratch last week and having fun playing it!

Feels like an ironic situation where Bandai tried to make LKM less oppressive by moving it away from the old yellow building to a new black one that’s… okay at spamming.
However, they might not have expected people to pull a Lilithmon X and do some purple X antibody/dark animal synergy.
I just tested this deck yesterday and I loved it!! I'll need more practice with the deck because I may use it for Finals
I mainly play/focus on a fan made MTG Commander like multiplayer format and this idea did come to mind of pairing LKMX with the dark animal/Cerberusmon package. But because I havent been able to decide if i wanna make a Purple Good stuff list or a Knightmon/DarkKnightmon tribal deck first, Ive procrastinated on making a deck for it entirely.
Great video! Could you do a similar analysis for the token rush (Goldramon) you recommended the other day? I'd love to know what ace you would use as a tech
Thanks for the kind words big dawg! The timing for this comment couldn’t have been better. I was literally trying out Gold Rush last night for the first time myself. It’s SO FUN! I didn’t try out any ACE’s, just used the basic build, but I’ll think about it 🤔
Love unique decks like this that were unintended but make total sense and fans create them by mixing archetypes

Honestly something from EX5 Anubismon line is gonna be hit. It has been used in 3-4 different decks from bt16 onwards. So yeah it will likely overstay its welcome.
I love that as time goes on, we are still paying for EX5’s crimes 😂

Is it me or is digimon becoming a game like yugioh where you run a ganeric package or engine that lets you do everything and anything for next to nothing to climb up into your specific boss monster of choice to ideally try to win the game on the spot or lock the opponent out from playing?
I was already looking forward to this deck BADLY, as i built a dark animal centered list for lordknightmon and was already happy with the outcome, but this just cements the idea of JUST DO IT

Yes, if a Digimon is suspended for alliance and during the attack after they have been suspended, they are removed from the battle area, the dp and sec+ effects remain for the duration of the attack.
Yes you can declare alliance, gain dp and sec+1, then kill that very same digimon you suspended for alliance for an effect and you'll still have the alliance bonuses.

It's just the current leviamon deck with different level 6s and 4 cards exchanged (the levia options). That's it. Nothing special, nor new, it-s just that the new Okama X has too good of an abilities to ignore it.
Also, Okama X is not dedegivolve 1, it is dedegivolve 1 for each digimon you have on board which means that if you go into level 5 and 6 the same turn you can easily dedegivolve 3 in a go.
Honestly i was planing on building the Knightmon version of this deck but more and more i tried it it felt like i was playing DKM but more lv6 focused instead of lv5 so that version felt kinna lame

@@atamisirli3620 well it's basically the same as those other decks. It's a very popular purple base compared to the the never used darkknight base. Wouldnt exactly call that unique.

I'm really curious about Diablomon's matchup into LKX. Being unable to Digivolve seems threatening but Diablomon has a few tricks up its sleeve for that. But i haven't played against it so no idea.
Also, i really wanted to play blakc knights but apparently it's just bad compared to this version of the deck?
Black base has floating and tamer hate plus very solid consistency. It's up to you and what you like better

Are you telling me to play mervaloop and with lordknight? ok I'll do. Technically this deck is old anubis/levia decks just changing the boos monsters. I beeing testing this with my mervaloop deck and is just replace minervas for lordknightmon. A quite good way to use anubis mechanic but without being that toxic.

So TL;DR Generic Purple Engine + any purple Lv6 of your choice is better than any actual intended synergy in the game
Just classic purple stuff...
purple at this point is just dark animals and that makes me sad to see the same thing over and over again. Anubismon used it, levia used it, lilith, used it, now lordknight is using it too. doesn't give me much hope for deck building when we play the same thing but a different top end. This isnt the only color that has an engine like this either, makes deck building kind of boring and the game feel like yugioh which IMO is never a good thing.
Oh look, Purple X antibody is tier 1 again because nobody else has consistency enablers.
I can't wait for bandai to hit Cerberus X and ignore all of the other problems with their set design.
Oh and print another like 5-6 useless gallantmon cards
