Smudger's Garden Visitors Feb 2024

It's been a manic month in the back garden with our wild friends.
Smoky, our vixen who calls this area home, was heavily pregnant but has since given birth in the tree stump den. I have cameras trained on her home. I'm hoping for some fox cub action soon if she doesn't move them anywhere else. She currently emerges every few hours for a little while in search of food, before returning to suckle her cubs and keep them warm.
The other vixen who visits is also pregnant but has yet to give birth herself, but it should be imminent. Hopefully she has a protected den somewhere.
Still nightly visits from our two badgers, Brutus and Flora and other regular foxes including Smoky's mate, a three legged fox called Freddie and Blanco.
All in all, a fascinating insight into the lives of our wild animals.
