@@crunchy_dg1191 that's awesome! yes, I knew she works with Throw Joes, what gorgeous discs. Thanks for the info, I love my CrystalFLX get freaky zone, would definitely pick up a sweet Throw Joes dye in the future!
Hey holyn! New sub. I also just noticed in December of 22 you visited, and played our little course in little elmore city, ok. Easy course, but always well kept. Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for coming through!!!
Sick Dyes. I encourage you to reach out to Chris Dickerson and see if he’ll let you toss one of his PFN Esp Predators. I think you’ll find this disc may help you eliminate a few molds that overlap & feels incredible in the hand. It kinda fits between a vulture & raptor. I use it for backhand & forehand. Seriously underrated disc that Discraft pros are sleeping on, except for Chris of course. I’m hoping Dickerson makes it his tour series so I can get a sick Esp swirl. Discraft is currently only running a Big Z version of it sadly. Cool to see you bagging the Cicada & Athena. My bag looks very similar to yours. Good luck this year!!
Thanks for the recommendation! There actually are some ESP Swirl Dickerson predators on his website right now: teamdiscraft.com/collections/dickerson-discs/products/dickerson-predator-esp-sigseries2023
I’m pretty sure my bag is about 85% of the same discs you bag, for the same shots you describe. I know where I’m going to come back to if I’m ever looking for a disc to fill a spot.
Stock undertakers make GREAT forehand discs if you like hyzerflips to replace that raptor. I had the same issue loving my flippy raptors but getting my hands on them was annoying. Also something i find interesting (for those that don't know), is that the vulture has a smaller rim width than the raptor but is slightly deeper (1mm). And I love the tip at the end about the way pop-tops beat in. I've never thought about it and will be on the lookout! (nukes are my go to)
I move slower than I would for a full shot, use more arm and less lower body to power the shot, and finish with my thumb down slightly to pull the nose of the disc up, allowing it to land nice and softly.
Does your bag change significantly when you play at elevation? I live over 3000ft above sea level. The first time I played at sea level was wierd seeing everything fly with a lot more turn.
I don't play at elevation often but if I do, I'll add another under-stable driver, fairway and mid and maybe take out my most over-stable discs if I don't anticipate using them.
Stable = Neutral = Straight Overstable = Beefy Understable = Flippy Stable =/= overstable Especially in reference to comparing OS discs. 1,000% respect for Holyn, she's got my favorite instructor Instagram. We've just gotta get the correct terms to the new people. Our lingo is already confusing enough 🤣🤣🤣
Here we go!! The Throw Joes Dyes always amaze me!!
For anyone who doesn't already know, Holyn is an instructor for Power Disc Golf Academy and recently released lessons on building a bag.
and the award for most beautiful dyed discs goes to Holyn! (almost every disc you have) excited for the Season kicking off soon!
Throw Joes is a big supporter of her. I snagged one of their HH Zones at ledgestone, Holyn was running the booth!

That 2020 buzzz, mmm 😋
Everyone's bag should be filled with Joe's creations. Let's go team throw joes!!!
Holyn you are f’n awesome!!!
You're f'n awesome!
100% agree about the PP 2020 esp buzz.
The machete is what I wanted the raptor to be. Machete is definitely a slept on mold, great side arm, chip shot disc.
Sick Dyes.

Great in the bag!

I see you have excellent taste :D

Ti Undertaker is my favorite disc. So underrated.
Throw joes ❤
The titanium undertaker was the one that got me throwing the undertaker 2 1/2 years ago
Sky is the limit for you this season! Gl
coolest cat
2022 great lakes tour series is a flippy raptor try one of those
What would be your best advice for my up shots?
I tend to crush the shot or i’m off on my accuracy.
I move slower than I would for a full shot, use more arm and less lower body to power the shot, and finish with my thumb down slightly to pull the nose of the disc up, allowing it to land nice and softly.
@@holynhandley_discgolf Thank you for the advice. You are my favorite FPO player. I met you at the USWDGC this past year.

What weights do you typically use for fairways and drivers?
@@jacksantoro9858 mostly 167-175, I look more at how domey or flat the disc is than care too much about the exact weight.
@holynhandley_discgolf thanks for the reply! Have a great off season
Lfg! 2024!
New sub, go H!
That bag must weigh 55 lbs 😮
That’s why her partner carries it! 😂 best caddy on tour
agreed haha
