Who are you briefing when flying SPIFR? Why are your NVG's down when IMC? Are you telling me you fly SPIFR in a helicopter without an autopilot? Just pulling your leg. Have flown SPIFR/NVG EC135/145's for many years. Fly multi crew 139's SAR now and find that still, after years of doing so, harder then flying by myself. Miss those quiet flying days of just me to worry about myself.
I food that approach last night to two left and for some reason I came in 500 feet too high. Even though I flew laterally over the IRS intercept for the localizer I did not get any glideslope assistance in my MD80. I'm talking about the X-Plane 11 mD80 not real life, ever I just found this a bit odd. Do you personally or does anyone reading this happen to know if you fly too high above the intercept will you not get any glideslope? Thank you
is one flying watching panel and one not flying looking out the window and the one flying make visual transion at 200 feet ils landing or 800 feet visual landing im not a cfi im taking lessons thanks
Transfers controls yet throws off the FO making autopilot inputs. Not good, I wouldn't have published this video. Bad example of CRM/ multi crew concept.
You have controls... But i have the hdg bug..
jay matane n.
Exactly...hahahaha
A thorough briefing easily accomplished in a highly-automated aircraft. Try it single-pilot, bouncing around in a 172.
Then the binder falls, pages scatter and they clear you hahah
TheAdhocrat yup! Plus ATC trying to talk to you. 😂
TheAdhocrat That’s kid stuff. Try it SPIFR on NVGS in Multi Engine Helicopter.

That's where I'm at right now In my training. Very hard
I'm an English Teacher and I'd love to use that as a language practice for FCL 055 exam. Any chance I could get a transcript of the audio? :) Thanks!

@TheAdhocrat See... to get to the jet, you've probably bounced up and down in summer thermals in a single engine for quite a while.
United Express?
