it would be a nice test to find and match the airspeed on the green and performancemodel and then measure the max temp. i feel that the high airflow of the performance is cooling down the heating element; but the low speed you used in the test is much lower than the green model; maybe there is a setting somewhere inbetween and the heating element can hold up to that flow.

Love your videos on Parkside Vs other more expensive brands, thanks. Shame we don't seem to get these 'performance' Parkside tools in the UK.

I have the green one, and I found out 2 things
    1) the battery drain is too much for 4A batteries older than 2 years, it deeply discharges one or more cells and renders them unusable.
    2) it may have a trickle drain even when off, I sometimes find batteries discharged if left connected. But I may be wrong about this one.
I did not use a tester, but it draws significantly more power than other Parkside tools, like the hot glue gun, the soldering iron (which is amazing) or the impact wrench for wheels.
I have almost all 20V Parkside tools, and I'm only dissapointed in the heat gun, the vacuum cleaner (very low powered but it still has its uses) and the pressure washer (again, very low powered but good when you can't run a power cord)

My favorite is 10€ parkside green one i bought couple years ago ,but its not cordless. Now they shamelessly jacked up the price to 12€ ! Idk ,somehow heat gun is one of those tools that will never be good on batterys for now.Its consumption is too big for what current battery technology can provide, maybe in future or if they make double battery version.

Thanks for the vid. It seems it is impossible to produce a substantially better cordless heat gun not matter the brand or price. I use them for heat shrinks only and for this purpose even the cheapest green parkside is more than enough. For any other use, I would rather go for the corded machine.

If you really need long runtime get the bosch with a 12ah battery and spend ~330€ on the full set 😂

To test a temperature you might use a sheet of metal to heat up, and on the others side you mount the probe. To heat up the probe itself misleads.

The power of the device is probably adjusted according to the quality of the cells in the battery. Parkside does not give the producer of his cells, and Bosh probably has a brand.

I think every Test you did was flawed. The First one messured a small point. Air flow and apature is key here not the total heat Output. Second test shrink wrap was to many random elements distance and angle were different in every Test. Than there was the power test. Your method was fine but your conclusion wrong. A resistor (heating element) converst all the energy in to heat. There for the bosch shuld make the most heat.
I like your Videos a lot parkside is impressiv for the low price and in the end every heat gun is good enugh.
Sorry for my bad englisch and greetings from germany.
