It has been said before me, yet I will say it again:
Thank you, Ringo!
Ringo is funnier than half of the Netflix comedian working today.

Ringo 💍🥁 the greatest drummer a great musician. The Beatles are my favourite band. 👍🏻💯
It's nice to see an interview from 1981 that doesn't mention John's death.
I will say this, though: I wished Merc's sidekick should have conducted the interview. He knew a lot more about the music scene than Merv did
Ringo's drunk here, as he was for most of the 80's, still shell-shocked from John's shooting too.
John was going to record with Ringo on this album. John wrote "Life begins at 40" and "Nobody Told Me" for Ringo.
I see an intervention in your future, Richie.
i think it came.
Thank God it did!
Ringo on Merv Griffin : November 17, 1981
Smoking a cigarette on the set.... WOW
Nothing special in the 80. :)
The good old days yeah..👍🏻
it was always like that til like the 90s
Merv was certainly no Johnny Carson but he's quite good here👍
He lokoks different without the beard and glasses
Look at that toupee' 😄
The bloke next to Ringo.😅 I just noticed
Rock music wasn't Merv's bag but he's trying to seem interested.
Ringo is a great character, and completed the whole Beatles, without him The Beatles would of been a great band but less appealing . Pete Best was a good drummer, but would of changed the dynamics of the Beatles to focus only on John, Paul and George.
Pete Best was a crappy drummer. Still is.
Slightly inebriated.
Good guess
ringos hair here was unnatural lookin
badly colored
Still think he looks best with mustache and no beard. It works. Or did. Doubt it would be recommended now 😁
My favorite Ringo era was late sixties with the mustache and long hair.
Ringo must have been insufferable at this time. Smug, self satisfied and constantly trying to entertain. Glad he stopped the booze/drugs and became himself.
He was worse in the early 70s as he'd beat his first wife with his fists, even admitting that once he had thought he had beaten her to death.
@@KeizerHedorahthat was in the late 80’s he was definitely worse in the 80’s
@@KeizerHedorah No. It was late 80s that he thought he killed Barbara one night and also trashed the house. Yes, alcohol was becoming a problem while still married to Maureen, but he didn't really start the destructive path until post '75 with his divorce and the downturn in his career. He fully went off the deep end after losing Lennon and Barbara had discussed rehab in the months leading up to the incident where he'd thought he'd killed her. Fear for what he might do next is why he finally admitted he had a serious problem.
@kcampbell3045 Wow after looking it up it turns out Ringo beat on both women, Maureen even tried to kill herself, sad I thought he'd straightened up on the violence by Barbara, but no you are correct it was Barara who Ringo almost beat to death with his bare hands.
Ego was well out of control. Who knows, maybe even Macca in his darkest moments, raised a hand to Linda, although I doubt it. @@KeizerHedorah
He was drunk!
