@@CamMackay96 ehh Milka is mid at best chocolate as a whole is pretty garbage when it comes to candy because it's only a rich base and needs help from some other better candy like nougat, caramel, peanut butter ect. Paydays are fire and it's literally only peanuts and caramel. Chocolate paydays are even better but it's a sum of the parts. honestly id take bag of nuts or caramel candy over a plain chocolate bar. You know what I mean?

Does Woody realise we're no longer stuck in WW2 and Hershey isn't the only chocolate around?!? I will die on this hill that American Chocolate (in candy bars at least) is goddamn fucking terrible. Try some Dairy Milk, Milka, Galaxy or bloody LINDTT and you'd probably have an orgasm from the difference...
Growing up I went off of a lot of chewy gummy type sweets since after a certain point I realize it's all just solid sugar with fruit flavourings. Nowadays I much prefer some good chocolate if I'm going to have sweets of any kind. Also I actually quite like turkish delight (rosewater being the best, although it is and acquired taste) the reason Edmund was so desperate for it is because the book is set in the middle of WW2 when they're still rationing in the UK so he wouldn't have had sweets in a while, and turkish delight at the time was viewed as an exotic delicacy. I like it but most commonly all you get is the Fry's stuff that is chocolate coated and not as nice, although I have found some kebab shops local to sell it as a dessert, but usually it is lemon or lime rather than rose. You can also sometimes find kits for making it in the world food sections of supermarkets, it's the sort of thing that I think is worth trying at least once. Also for where in the world does sweets best, germany, belgium and switzerland for chocolate, and france and italy for desserts. I think america corners the market best in terms of peanut butter chocolate, and maybe also gummy sweets.

Real chocolate is meant to melt in your hand. American, Australian chocolate all have that preservative to prevent it from melting on the shelf which also makes it taste like plastic. The U.K. have the best chocolate because a lot of it doesn't have that stuff due to their crap weather.
Why am i not surprised that Woody and Kyle enjoy fruit cakes….
