No cap pops , been wanting a detail setup for 1-3 years but my ghetto setup has my business cracking til this day , im glad i aint go in debt for a setup , we tryna get straight to the bread , most important thing would be investing all tht $ into is building clients

100% people should use what they can for as long as they can. Invest into a mobile detailing van once money is good and you got a decent bit of customers or flow of people coming in. A lot of that money initially can be going into tik tok ads and business cards. This is what I plan to do, I have most of the washing stuff but need a few more things. I work at Walmarts online grocery pickup and see tons of cars a day, I’m gonna have business cards made next week and will start to give them out, I’m already cleaning friends and family cars on the side but I’m trying to grow my business and get this to the next step🙌🏼

I started with $500 and a Home Depot credit card. Put everything in the back of a small pickup. It’s better to slowly upgrade as client base builds.

Pay cash! You don’t need a setup like this if you can’t pay cash. If you can’t pay cash you can’t afford it. This is what makes 60-70% of detailing business going under after 2-5 years. He brings up a great point when he says he won’t make you money. Most businesses that thrive and not zero debt work at the speed of cash will never stress out because they don’t owe the bank. If you have some big payment of a vehicle and owe money on other equipment you will stress out more. By the time you have it paid off the next best thing will come along or yours will break and cost more to fix rather than replace.

Dude, I am making $500K a year. I use a Ford Pinto, the model that had the exploding gas tanks, and the only supplies I need is a bucket, a rag, Dawn dish soap, and some towels. When you are an expert like myself, fancy products and equipment are not needed. You are corrupting the car detailing artists, like myself, who can clean a car to the high-level using simple products and tools. I am so good at it, I can do it totally wasted. But the people keep calling me because of the RESULTS. God bless.

got a rack from h2o and the powder coating is flaking off already after 3 years… also not 100% needed to have a super nice setup like this how you said. yes it helps but not so much, maybe 1 out of 10 people who see my number actually book me. also the “high” end clients dgaf. they care about the results. ill be doing g wagons and gt3’s out if a 2010 caravan
