@@Lookup2Wakeup you could get into an Iconic at that if you can live without the extras of the GT Line, there are some slightly older/higher mileage GT Lines around but for an approved used car from a main dealer in such good condition it’s probably worth the extra.

Nice buy. Great price, practical, hatchback and cheap to run.
We bought a 27 month old ID.3 1st Edition with less than 12,000 miles in March. It was a p/ex with a BMW dealer and had sat in their yard doing nothing for about 3 months.
At the time the price was truly excellent and they added an extra 6 months warranty onto the 9 months VW warranty remaining. The battery obviously has it's longer warranty.
Folk have been telling me that the used EV market has crashed and that I overpaid but when I Google I find that I still got a decent deal 5 months later. Very happy.
I am happy with what we got and we do intend to keep the car for the long term so it all makes sense.
And the icing on the cake? Currently giving 298 miles range or over 5 miles/kWh. Less than 3 pence per mile ...

I put mine in the garage overnight and use a granny charger, gets me enough on the off-peak, not that I commute with it. Trips to Scotland are close for me, where charging is quite cheap. 22kW charging can save long waits in service areas if the Gridserve chargers are full. Planning the journey to South has improved with Gridserve's rollout of bigger chargeparks too. You'll benefit from the GT Line additions my Iconic doesn't have. I like my now 2 year old Zoe as a driver's car. I hope you enjoy yours too😁😁😁

Congrats to your Renault ZOE, after a year of drinving one, I still have a big smile on my face when entering and leaving the car, it is an excellent BEV and it is a bit sad that not that many people want to own one today. It is still one of the best options for a smaller car that has a very good range.

Superb choice I think. Bearing in mind what you said about the n-cap ratings only really being lower due to Renault skimping on one of the airbags, I think the Zoe would be competitive if they fixed that and fitted 100kW+ charging to them. Oh, and I'd prefer the front lights of the original car too! The reality though is that Zoe ends production soon to be replaced by the new 5. RIP Zoe, welcome new 5!
Interesting that comment by someone about 'how long for your home charger to pay for itself'? Strange one that, and one I've not heard before. I have a Peugeot e-208 GT, there are several things that I wasn't aware of before buying the car and I'm not quite sure how the manufacturers get away with making such false claims. When I bought the car last year, on a full charge the range was reported as 216 miles, however drive just a couple of miles down and this drops by at least 30 miles. The range reported at switch on and the published range could just have been anything they like, however its rubbish, the actual mileage and range you get is nothing like that, also there are obvious other factors like the mileage reported drops depending on the way you drive, so unless you keep your foot off the accelerator you aren't going to get anything close to the reported range. Also after having owned the car for over a year and having done over 29,000 miles the charge now doesn't report 216 miles anymore, but 193, which again isn't accurate because as I said above the same applies and this drops considerably after just a few miles. Something else I wasn't aware of is that the actual charging is effected by outside air temperature, so when its colder your charging range is much less, when its warmer you get a better charge. Apart from these issues I love the car, its so much fun to drive.

@@ModernHeroes Yes. Zoe drove fine but as you say the e208 is a better driving car. Personally I prefer the e208 interior but it's totally subjective. I live in a warm climate so at least 200+km range even in "winter". But if I had to do lots of driving in UK winter is would not make the list. Oh and 100kw charging helps if I do some longer journeys.

This car was available on 0% finance for less than £150 a month - considerably less than a lot of people pay for even a pretty average used ICE car. It has the potential to pay for itself over the alternative. Suitability for your use is another thing entirely of course, but the used market the way it is at the moment takes the sting out of affordability very effectively.
