    Coming back to this video again. The 24 MT09SP has been announced and it's got a Brembo master cylinder, Stylema calipers, the bars are lower, and the pegs are higher. Not by a lot, I think the bars for example moved 30mm. Basically hits all the minor niggles in your review. It sounds very appealing.
    Oh yeah, and they said they're increasing the spring rates front and back. I think maybe 4 degrees more steering lock too. Everything they talk about sounds good. Just wish they'd go whole hog and put Ohlins forks on it.

    The sound of the CP3 never gets old. Have you had a chance to ride the new XSR900 yet? It's the same engine as the MT-09 but the newest version has a bit longer wheelbase and more sport touring riding position (slight foward lean) than the MT-09 so might feel less twitchy than the MT-09. I've ridden the MT-09SP myself and love the engine, but as you mentioned the bike is a bit twitchy on turn in and doesn't settle into a corner quite as nicely as a lot of the euro nakeds or a sport tourer/sportbike. Great flickability for urban riding or really tight twisties, but maybe not as confidence inspiring on faster twisties.

      Tbh i'm surprised to read that.
      It really depends on the feeling of the rider i gess.
      I also prefer more agressive geometry and scharped chassis.. my last motorcycles are MV Agusta F3 and Tuono v4.
      I've tried this 09 recently and i've been really surprised by the confidence it gives and how it handle.
      Imo almost at street triple level.
      The thing i agree with is the brakes are good but once you use them hard the feeling is kind of unstable.
      But this engine is maybe the funnier thing i've been riding 😄

      I have a Gen2 MT09 and can confirm it is sketchy on turns. But it handles traffic like a bicycle, so there is a tradeoff there. I ride my MT09 a lot in have Brazilian Traffic, so I prefer agility over cornering stability

Though I've heard from a few reviewers that the XSR might be a little soft near the limit, but that is most stock naked bikes not from Europe. I wonder if the SP shock and some heavier fork oil might fix that right up?

      It's the year 2023 :( If you want to have a legal optional exhaust pipe that also passes the noise level tests done by police there's not much the manufacturers can do. Other exhausts might sound nice and impressive but they'll be louder than the bike's legal limit.

    • @mrvwbug4423
      @mrvwbug4423 Рік тому +2

      @@SerifulStelar I think you could hit a happy medium where legal by leaving the cat in and yanking the db killer. Then at least you don't get the pea shooter sound of the db killer, but the cat will make it a bit quieter. I know on bikes with cat boxes and end cans (i.e. Kawis) you can leave the cat box in place and toss on an aftermarket end can with no db killer and get something that is barely louder than stock, but has a much better sound anyway. I wish I had options like that on my bike haha, I ride a Versys 650 with a two brothers slip on, it sounds great but is LOUD AF even with the quietest db killer two brothers makes installed, but every other exhaust for the Kawi 650 sounds like a tin can with the db killer installed or is way too loud with it out.

    Das Beste an der MT09: Wenn du nach dem Einfahren das erste Mal das Gas voll aufmachst und dir denkst, da kommt eh nicht viel mehr, es dich aber fast nach hinten abwirft. Die Erfahrung hatte ich noch auf keinem Bike. :D

    Die M9 09 Gen3 ist auch mein Alltagsbike geworden.
    Das Gefühl für das Vorderrad lässt sich ganz einfach einstellen.
    Die Lenkeraufnahme kann man um 180° drehen.
    Dadurch kommt der Lenker einen cm weiter nach vorne.
    Das erhöht das Gefühl für das Vorderrad erheblich,
    nimmt einen aber nicht die perfekte Sitzposition.
    Und wem das Schleifer der Fußrasten nervt, die kann man ja in der Höhe verstellen.
    Jetzt noch das Fahrwerk vom Speci einstellen, bzw. Auf sich persönlich anpassen lassen
    und du willst nicht mehr absteigen.
    Habe so schon 1000 km Touren mit der abgespult.
    Knallerbike!

    Hyped for the R9 with the CP3 coming next year 😍 I am just worried about the price, because the R7 costs same as the Mt09 which is crazy to me….(not even sure why, is a supersport so much more in development cost or did. Yamaha simply know that they build a sexy bike that will be easy to sell) I have still a 2018 mt07 love it but it has now 25k km so I want to sell it and get a MT09 Hello:) how are you?:) what do you work in Pattaya ?:) you seem cute 2022/23 soon :) would also love to get a Supersport maybe go for the R9 next year if the price is reasonable (just the optic of the new mt09 is so ugly, but f it I want to ride it not only watch it )

      @TheDaemon66 Рік тому

      I mean it’s called a CP3 but isn’t actually cross plane at all. Think about it how can three cylinders be in the shape of a cross with a 90 degree angle between them?
      It’s a cylinder so each crank pin is 120 degrees apart. Firing happens every 240 degrees of rotation. It’s just a misnomer by Yamaha for people to do exactly what you just did.

    • @Schaaf

      Yes, especially on old bikes sometimes 1 finger is not enough because their brakes require much more force on the lever. Most modern bikes however can perfectly be operated with just one finger
