This was an amazing podcast that clears a lot of doubt some Sikhs in the West especially have created between the Budha Dal and Damdami Taksal being against each other. Great Effort trying to make points clear 🙏🏽
Apologies for the mix-up. I mistakenly used an image of a contemporary preacher, Dharam Singh from Sach Khoj Academy, instead of the intended Baba Dharam Singh Ji from Mata Sahib Devan Ji's place. Jasmeet Singh was actually referring to the latter Baba Ji, who, along with Baba Mitt Singh Ji, journeyed on foot across India to Sri Hazoor Sahib in the early 1900s. They contributed to the construction of Mata Sahib Devan Ji's place at Hazoor Sahib. More information on Baba Mitt Singh Ji can be found at www.mahapurakh.com/baba-mit-singh.
Singh keep up the good work I hope only more growth and content for ur channel but if u read this can u make a video on Brahm Kavach I am intrigued to know about it
Love the work your doing brother, as a fellow Sikh I’ve noticed that many of the new gen Sikhs forget history and your bringing it back. Love it! As a a fellow history nerd I think it’s important to understand that theirs sometimes no right Va wrong especially in terms of Sikh history. People make mistakes as they have different opinions but it’s about staying united on big issues and tackling those as a collective
There’s a family that goes by the name of Shah in Mehta. Bhai Sant Singh Shah (who was a Shardhalu of 11th Mukhi) wanted Sant Gurbachan Singh Ji to leave their body at their house which they did, they gave that Zameen to Sant Kartar Singh Ji on which they build the Mehta Gurdwara . The Bhora in Mehta is what used to be his house. I can ask around for further information. I would be interested where the Budha Dal story comes from. It doesn’t seem to have any truth to it. Edit: just watched the mehta chownk snippet of the video, not more
There's needs to be more pushback on the Nihang narrative. It is now the dominant form of narrative in the Sikh sphere. False information needs to be called out regardless of ideology
@@premsingh-yi4dg Yep, as depicted in most pictures. Sant Gurbachan Singh Ji started to predominantly tie Blue Dastaars since Newspapers once announced that Giani Gurbachan Singh Ji from the “Nirmal Samparda” are coming. Upon hearing this they started to tie blue and add “Khalsa” to their pen name. They speak about the topic that Taksal does NOT stem from Nirmale narrating stories of the 11th Mukhi. It’s just Nirmale and the Budha Dal that push that narrative.

Thank you for this episode. The questions that you have chosen to ask went right to the point and the answers given by Bhai Jasmeet Singh Ji were equally informative and full of understanding and clarity. Thank you so much for bringing up these facts that help the Panth to move away from a tribal divisive mentality towards a true feeling of being one family. WaheGuru Ji Ka Khalsa WaheGuru Ji Ki Fateh
The episode we desperately needed. Thank you! Hoping the legacy segment around the 56 min mark is its own video. Really illustrates the tribalism mentality that so many find themselves stuck in.
@@jasongill3698 that’s not fully right. Nawab Kapoor Singh did start the Dals but he was a Akali, as where Bhai Mani Singh and Baba Deep Singh. Anyone with a Farla was given the title of Akali. Afterward Dals the misls were started. The Akali where started by Baba Fateh Singh ji. What I said is still true, taksal was started in the times of the British Raaj.
@@nihang8422nearly correct, damdami taksal was created in the 1900s, but taksal as a whole had been around since guru sahib, just not in the way we know it today
Incorrect of you to say so. Baba Santa singh ji himself said at damdama sahib that guru Gobind Singh ji started the taksal with baba Deep Singh ji as the 1st Jathedar. Now if you claim to be above your own panth patshah then you got some homework to do. Regardless, the damdami taksal did seva which was unparalleled at the time when a whole lot of you nihang Singhs couldn't care less what was happening to the rest of Punjab.

Buddha dal and Tarna dal were started in the misl period by a non akali
