Stop saying that many our dishes has many influence from Middle East and India, in fact many of those spices are native to us, Indonesia. They don't even grow in Middle East and later on brought to India to be cultivated. So it's another way around.

Whew, that guy did not go easy on ya! I love the brutal honesty! It's kinda refreshing to see someone not try and be completely "camera" friendly and for to be themselves because a lot times in videos like this some of the hosts can be too friendly and it can come off kinda fake with no personality. Plus, Sonny took in stride and the two played off each other really well! Awesome video!
I'm a Filipina who works in Saudi and they sell Krupuk here too, and man! I must say theyre amazeballs!!! I jst wish they put up more Indonesian restos here, their cuisine looks so appetizing.

I have had the great fortune to experience amazing traditional Indonesian cooking through my father who was born and raised there as a young adult.
There was never a day our kitchen went without freshly prepared sambal and properly prepared rice. We have lived in the US since the 1970s.
Beef and pork was rarely a part of our regular meal agenda. Rather, fish and chicken were the most affordable and conducive to the Indonesian dishes we were accustomed to when we migrated to the US.
It is my dream to visit all of Indonesia - and experience the various regions and cuisines it has to offer.
Thanks Sonny - and keep on inspiring us to explore the world through cuisine.

Most indonesian food cooked well and full of "BUMBU ALAM" (Natural healthy one) specially for PADANGESE food - very expensive! ever! but WOW! DELICIOUS!
