    Fabulous content again, and gorgeous images. I'd like to make some comments about the SL2S.
    My background is hobby photographer, looking for a perfect fit camera for 10+ years. Went through Lumix/olympus/fuji and eventually Leica. I have had an M9, M240P, Q, Q2 , Q2M, SL , M10P, and recently SL2S, as well as trying film with Voigtlander R4a and M7. I am 57 yo, and have bought and sold cameras over the years. I have spectacles, and like wide angle.
    Whilst I love the smallness and the history of the M system, ultimately I have been disillusioned by missing critical focus on fast lenses, and the EVF on the Ms are not that great. The SL2S has been an epiphany for me. I can see out to 12mm lenses, and 90mm if I want, through the fabulous EVF, and focus accordingly.
    It urges me to shoot manual, with ISO, Shutter speed and Aperature easily accessable at thumb and finger location. The EVF is unbelievable, and being able to check focus with magification makes missing shots a thing of the past. Its challenging me to grow as a photographer, be less lazy.
    I have an SL35mm lens, and it is just too big, as you alluded to, and I will move it along. I use M lenses, the Voigtlander 28mmf2 is gold on the SL2S, tiny, and the package whilst bigger than the M, feels fabulous in the hand. Low light is amazing, and I am OK with 24meg images.
    Maybe this will help similar people looking for a solution. I am happy now, the only thing I would love is an SL2S Mono, but that will not happen. Keep up the fabulous content, hope to get to a photo meeting at some stage, trying for DEC. Peace.

      Thanks for your insight James, seems you've had quite the collection over the years. I agree about the EVF, is incredible and underrated. What do you want me to review next?

    Really great video. I enjoyed it because I was planning to buy a Leica Sl2-s, and I will visit the Hamburg Leica store next Friday. In 2009 I was in Kyoto, fantastic city and the Japanese people are really helpful. It is quite easy as a foreigner to not do the right thing. For example you should take your street shoes off when you are entering a hotel room.

    What focal length(s) did you end up using the most in Kyoto and in Osaka? Any other tips for shooting street in both cities?

    • @AskMOTT
      @AskMOTT  9 місяців тому

      I mixed it up, normally I use 35mm for just about everything but Japan being a little hard to get close to people I found myself using the 75mm-90mm range quite a bit.
