I've heard several versions of "Maiden's Prayer" on the Tube. This is one of the purest, simplest, and most unaffected versions I have encountered. Very nice double stops as well.
She is rapidly becoming one of my favorite violinists. She is up there with Stuart Duncan and Michael Cleveland imho. And when the three of them (Lincoln, Dan amd she) play together it is just awesome!

Is it just my imagination or are Aynsley Porchak and Lincoln Hensley an item? Imagine if they got married! She'd be Aynsley Hensley! But seriously, they are making some beautiful music together, here and in the Tennessee Bluegrass Band, where Lincoln is the banjo player. What fiddle playing, though!!! I've always loved Maiden's Prayer, and hearing it takes me back to my days in West Texas, jamming at "musicals" with people from Lubbock and Amarillo (and Levelland). Those were they days.

Pity they feltl they needed the masks on to sing, this is the first time on UA-cam or anywhere I've seen musicians sing with masks on. But I have to agree, this is about as good as Bluegrass gets. Wee haa.

Reminds me of Bobby Hicks playing. I took lessons from him 40 years ago when he was teaching in Greensboro. Those hicks licks I heard in her playing.

My Daddy played the fiddle and he would say Maiden’s Prayer separated the men from the boys.
