    Mind you Guys, I tested this one on Samsung 30T, 40T, 50E and some 18650 as well (Sanyo GA, Samsung 35E and Sony VTC6). All batteries worked perfectly fine, except Samsung 50E 21700 cell, which caused visible flickering and humming sound from the driver. The rest of modes, including Turbo were fine. I don't know if it was a just my sample, but judging on this I would not recommend using this flashlight with Samsung 50E battery. Best choice is probably 40T, as for high output and longer runtime (alternatively 30T for highest possible output, but in my tests it gave only 350lm more than 40T on LH351D version).

      Yes I'm also having the same issue with 50E (I have two 50E and both having the same issue) and no issue at all with 30T. I also have E07X and there is the same issue with 50E. So yes 50E is not recommended for E12R and E07X

    Thanks for the review. I have a 2018 ROT66 219b that also came in a fancy box like that. My ROT66 was favorite tint for a couple of years but E12R is a little bit nicer

    Wow the beamshots in performance part of the video are wonderful.
    I wan't to buy an E12C now but i don't know if the 519a DD would have such a nice tint like the 219b SW45K and if the E12C is such as floody as the E12R, because from what i saw is more throw-directed.

    • @FlashlightEnthusiast

      Not anymore - new release has same optics as E12R... I would suggest taking chance of getting 519A as they are a bit less extreme in rosy tint, but also can produce more output in Turbo. However with a price of heat

    When i 1st got this the lens had s crack. It took me over a year to find a new lens. I got one through AE fireflies store. I put it on and tightened it (for waterproof) and it immediately cracked the new lens. There's not enough room to tighten down properly on this model without cracking the lens.

    • @FlashlightEnthusiast

      That might be annoying, yet I find it unnoticeable after some time of usage. That is the small drawback of their new efficient driver - not working really well in lowest modes - as it is not small EDC flashlight, in my opinion it is not that bad

    Do you think the acebeam x10 is better than the fireflies e12r? I want a light in these sizes but a floody light very flood type light i ordered the e12r with the +30$ led light option to give 12k lumens but im still not sure if this will be better than the x10 please let me know what is better and if it is fireflies e12r let me know what led package to get for the best flood type light thanks

    • @FlashlightEnthusiast
      @FlashlightEnthusiast  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks for asking, I didn't have an opportunity to test the Acebeam, but judging on some forums opinions it is an excellent light, very similar to E12R. However, it also features 1 center LED for throw - I also believe it is slightly less flood than E12R. Stabilization level is similar, I don't know why, but E12R seem to have longer runtime (slightly). For the most floody beam you should probably choose Samsung LH351D, although xp-l are pretty similar

      @@FlashlightEnthusiast thank you for your reply have you tested the fenix lr35r in all the videos I've seen it looks very nice but I can't tell if its flood or throw people say it throws very far but they don't mention wide and its hard to tell from a video camera some lights that are just ok look amazing and some lights that are amazing look just ok in videos thats why I appreciate your feedback on my questions let me know if fenix is a good choice or if possible send me some suggestions for floody light I don't mind the brand but I just don't want nothing I can't carry on me. No giant light cannons lol

      Fenix also looks like a decent option with increased battery capacity over E12R and stabilization in 2000lm region. It looks floody and I suppose it is judging by shallow and relatively small reflectors. I suppose greenish, cool white tint and 5 fixed modes do not discourage you. For more enthusiast light for longer runtime I would recommend either Rot66 or Emisar D18. Both are powered by 3x18650 batteries and have around 10k lumens depending on LED choice. They are still extremely compact and floody, both review on my channel 😉

    Great review & overview. With Anduril 2, I believe you can configure the "simple ui" max output to 150 (turbo) instead of 120 (ceiling, default value). See the documentation, line 520 : bazaar.launchpad.net/~toykeeper/flashlight-firmware/anduril2/view/head:/ToyKeeper/spaghetti-monster/anduril/anduril-manual.txt#L500

    • @FlashlightEnthusiast

    ROT66 is just plain better, 15 and 45 degree lens vs just 30 and lower overall mah on the E12R... not to mention, more mass/area to shed heat. The buck driver is better but it's not worth the extra cost in this case...they should have made ROT66 v3

    • @FlashlightEnthusiast
      @FlashlightEnthusiast  3 роки тому

      Appreciate your argument. Yes, I agree that Rot66 has optics to choose from, although I don't see the purpose of 45 degree optics for most applications. As of better heat dissipation, unfortunately Rot66 does not cope with it better than E12R according to my testing of both flashlights in Nichia sw45k configuration. You can see the chart in video comparison E12R vs E07 and Rot66. Maybe it is just my sample, but shelf design and Buck driver do their job.

    • @JohnDoe-fs6tk
      @JohnDoe-fs6tk 3 роки тому +1

      @@FlashlightEnthusiast 45 deg is fine, you get like 100 meters of throw on turbo, and yes the chart looks like the +20% driver efficiency is responsible, heard rot66 fw has a runtime bug as well - mine never gets warm, much less hot. I would have preferred a V3 rot66 still. Doesn't help that the ROT66 uses 7075 alu which transfers less heat, they should have used a copper segment for the LED/driver and made an extra segment at the back so you're not wearing the copper segment out with battery changing

    Thanks! You have a note in the video that the light is rated at 6800 lumens with the Samsung 40T...that's SIGNIFICANTLY lower than the advertised 12,000 lumens, and about the same as the E07. Why so low??

    • @FlashlightEnthusiast

      This flashlight is rated at 12.000lm with different emitters (xp-l2, cool white). What I have here are Samsung and Nichia emitters that produce lower output, but in return you get much more pleasant beam and high color rendering.
