i had the privilege of playing "bobbi" in this music video when i heard the song i was blown away how beautiful it was and then i got the script off jake and it was stunning such a fantastic end to my 2019 acting career .im looking forward to 2020.. happy christmas everyone

Just when you thought it wasn't possible to go any better, you guys raise the bar yet again to a different level. Your song writing makes me speechless. I thought your Hiding Bottles video was just superb and a brave topic to tackle, as so many people want to ignore it or pretend it doesn't exist, and now this one. Guys like you can help to make issues like this mainstream in such an accessible way, hopefully helping to find a way to educate people so that we can put a stop to the bigotry and cruelty we find a section of humanity inflicting on others. Can I add that musically as a song its right up there for me. Crow & Breaker/Keeper blew me away this has done likewise.

My favourite band… When I think I can’t love you more than I already do, you bring out this beautiful song with this incredible video about a subject on which there is still so much misunderstanding and prejudice. My goodness. You have been my favourite band these past few years , I cannot get enough of your music and lyrics. And then you go and release a music video as powerful as this. I always get filled with the strangest shock, but happy shock, when I see a favourite artist of mine voicing their support for the LGBTQ community, and you have done it in such a elegant, yet raw and heartbreaking way. Thank you so much.

Right before the pandemic I was homeless but I was lucky to find a bed with a shelter I also spoke the the actor in the video I told him what a wonderful job he did. He Thank me and said to me that he was going to come to Los Angeles in April but the pandemic happened. I hope that he is doing all right. What an uplifting song Love you Bear Den❤️
This is intensely moving i can hardly write this missive for the tears streaming down my cheeks right now, And gratitude for articulating that we are all only young for the moment, and that life is in the now!, and that every age is special and beautiful and that it is about possessing a HUMAN POLICY Regardless of how we self identify.

I have to be dumb but can someone explain the video? Who beat up the singer? Was it the bald guy only imagining the happy part?
I think, and this is my interpretation, that the the singer girl was either someone the protagonist knew in her (from the video I assume she is a trans woman) past, sort of like a ghost or memory. Perhaps the singer is someone who supported the protagonist and understood her experience as a trans woman and helped her, supported her, but the singer was likely beaten/murdered because she was trans due to the systematic violence and high murder rate against trans people, and because the protagonist witnessed that and lost that support, she was likely scared back into the closet and forced to hide who she was and live her life as a man, and this video is her trying to fight that battle again, remember seeing the ghost and being reminded of the good parts, how freeing and relieving it was to be herself despite the risk, and come to terms with the violence and discrimination that there'll be. Something like that, just my interpretation

@@atrocious_pr0xy Transgender and Intersex are not the same thing. Not all trans women pass as female straight away, transition takes years of hormone treatments and potential surgeries, especially if started after puberty.

I dig this song and many others by BD, but this video is nothing novel or brave. We're more accommodating now than we ever have been. So, making a video touching on an issue that most people agree with isn't courageous or novel. Sorry, it's just not. This isn't taboo anymore to make public stances like this in music videos (i.e. Brandi Carlile, Sigur Ros, RHCP, etc.).
