I grew up Catholic. I was an altar boy for many years (saw no molesting, just bullying). I almost went to seminary and took the holy orders. There is one thing about the old Roman Empire that conquered and was infiltrated by the Christians. Constantine is the Emperor that converted (on his deathbed whatever they may say now) but during the fifth and sixth century Rome's religions added the catholic branch. After the Council of Nicea standardized the religion and rejected a lot of sects and books that became apocrypha. Rome had been collecting all these artifacts like the bronze pine cone of their "holy" victory over the "heathen". They became trophies, then later generations wondered about their legends and they became art objects. The Vatican library is full of books and warehouses full of items that can only be studied by scholars. A few "mystics" may have tried to find ancient uses but to no use. Much fiction has been generated about them.

I'm 2 minutes and 22 seconds into this video and couldn't possibly be more confused. You at first were speaking about a pine cone and then you started talking about a pineapple. I grew up Catholic. I was an altar boy for many years (saw no molesting, just bullying). I almost went to seminary and took the holy orders. There is one thing about the old Roman Empire that conquered and was infiltrated by the Christians. Constantine is the Emperor that converted (on his deathbed whatever they may say now) but during the fifth and sixth century Rome's religions added the catholic branch. After the Council of Nicea standardized the religion and rejected a lot of sects and books that became apocrypha.
Rome had been collecting all these artifacts like the bronze pine cone of their "holy" victory over the "heathen". They became trophies, then later generations wondered about their legends and they became art objects. The Vatican library is full of books and warehouses full of items that can only be studied by scholars. A few "mystics" may have tried to find ancient uses but to no use. Much fiction has been generated about them.
