    • @mr.howard1
      @mr.howard1 3 роки тому +24

      It is unbelievable... because it isn't true! There are still holes in the ozone layer... they never went away. They move and fluctuate all the time through a process we clearly do not yet fully understand. They've most likely been there for millennia. The main factors appear to be solar radiation (as this is how the majority of ozone in the stratosphere is formed) and the jetstreams... as far as we know right now. I think the role of cfc's in the process is probably overestimated.

    • @mr.howard1
      @mr.howard1 3 роки тому +6

      @San Te Everything you've been fed by people with left-wing agendas and vested interests, you mean. The same people also say global temperatures are controlled by 0.04% (400 parts per million) of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere yet cannot explain how earlier periods when C02 was higher than today were actually colder... there are problematic correlations. And apparently, that massive ball of hydrogen and helium burning at the centre of the solar system has nothing to do with the warming climate. Yet here we are at the Grand Solar Minimum experiencing one of the coldest years globally for several decades. You need to look very hard for yourself to cut through the propaganda if you want the real facts. There's no 97% scientific consensus that global warming is anthropogenic... that's just not true. Ask the physicists, geologists, cosmologists and actual climate scientists. Have a look at the latest data from Greenland ice core samples for example. But don't ask meteorologists who can't even predict the weather three months in advance, never mind three, or thirty, or three hundred years.

Just look at the trends for buying a new car, phone, “fashion”. Industries have taken it to the point where slight improvements in tech or design are sufficient reasons to get rid of the “old” one and buy a new one. Needs to change fast.

      Shaun-David Fidler I just did a quick search and apparently, snow is very effective in reflecting UV rays, so I wouldn't necessarily say yes. Although the melting of the polar icecups leads to more carbon dioxide being emitted in to the air which further accelerates the melting of the polar icecaps.

    It is very interesting to watch. Expand and open insight into the impact of air pollution caused by nature, namely the combustion system, volcanoes, while there are also human activities in everyday life, fossil combustion systems, gas factories, or vehicles that cause the depletion of the ozone layer. from air pollution, especially CFCs. This is important for the public to know so much that the air pollution produced can reduce the activity of human activity itself and prevent global warming and an increase in the earth's temperature which has an impact on life.

    So, How exactly does the Ozone layer recover? I Feel like It’s unrepairable and will only get worse.

    • @hexwolfi
      @hexwolfi 4 роки тому +1

      It recovers through a natural photochemical process that converts diatomic oxygen to ozone in the stratosphere. Ozone is chemically very reactive, so it quickly reaches an equilibrium where conversion to ozone via solar radiation equals the natural ozone depletion rate (the ozone hole resulted when CFCs accelerated the depletion rate-- the hole appeared over Antarctica due to the Earth's thermodynamics)

    If CFC causes holes in ozone layer or makes it thin, why on the poles? Who uses AC, Refrigerator, Sprays in the artic circle?
    So CFC emission from NY, Tokyo, HK etc all traveled across the globe to the artic circle where it breaks the ozone molecule.. someone explain this. By this logic ozone holes should have been created on top of temperate zones where CFC should be high.
    Ozone (o3 molecule)'s lifespan is very short, 30 mins. So does it matter?
    'Most ozone (about 90%) resides in a layer that begins between 6 and 10 miles (10 and 17 kilometers) above the Earth's surface.'

    No such thing as ozone hole at geographic poles. What we actually have is atmosphere going in and out of polar openings in vortex style just like all other planets with atmosphere. Polar openings are located at 90 latitude, at geographic poles, rotation axis of earth. Read Marshall B. Gardner's book pdf for compelling evidence of polar openings. Ozone = O + Zone. O is a symbol for polar opening. Zone means area. Read between the lines.

    • @Xeno_Bardock

      Ozone hole is an illusion created by polar openings. What's actually happening is atmosphere of earth goes in and out of polar openings. Most of atmosphere on the outer earth came from inner earth. Inner earth atmosphere is denser compared to outer earth.

    sangat bermanfaat dan menarik untuk dipelajari, memang benar bahwasanya di planet bumi dikelilingi oleh lapisan ozon yang berfungsi sebagai pembatas antara radiasi ultraviolet bumi dari matahari. lapisan ozon ini tersusun dari lapisan molekul yang reaktif, megandung 3 atom oksigen, dan terdiri dari 6 lapisn. akan tetapi lapisan ozon ini akan rusak dan menipis , adapun apisan ozon menipis disebabkan oleh bahan kimia CFC yang ditemukan pada refrigeran, aerosol, produk plastik, dan bisa juga ditemukan pada polusi kendaraan, pabrik, dll.
    very useful and interesting to study, it is true that the planet earth is surrounded by an ozone layer which serves as a barrier between the earth's ultraviolet radiation from the sun. This ozone layer is composed of a reactive molecular layer, contains 3 oxygen atoms, and consists of 6 layers. however, this ozone layer will be damaged and thinned out, while the ozone layer thinner is caused by CFC chemicals found in refrigerants, aerosols, plastic products, and can also be found in pollution from vehicles, factories, etc.

      tua domini don't worry too much. Although conservatives usually can be found in the older generations, in the US at least the growth of sustainable energy has overtaken that of the addition of fossil fuels already, whether Trumps administrations likes it or not. The only thing that needs to happen is the replacement of the existing infrastructure.( quick search for example time.com/4662116/renewable-energy-fossil-fuels-growth/ )

      I recently read a statement that it's slowly regenerating (you can see it here: www.nasa.gov/sites/default/files/ozoneposter_front.jpg ) which is probably due to the efforts organizations have been doing to counteract this. Keep in mind though that looking at the images, you can see regular fluctuations that might occur naturally, so be careful not to draw too many conclusions from it.

      Also keep in mind facts change really fast, espeically about the climate change. I did a paper on climate change 4 years ago, it said we had like 80 years before any impact, now it's going to 50 years or something.

      Lacrosse nah dude. The impact has already taken place. If you're in the US, just look at the coasts of Florida. If you're not, there's countless other examples. 'Before the Flood' is a documentary that shows some places that display this.
