Yea I was impressed how the dealer didn’t clean up the car. When I personally saw the car in the dealer it need it lot of work. But I’m glad you guys got the car, I’m sure you will make that Evo look better than new 🤞. I used to own one 3 yrs ago now I regret selling it.

I like the Quin videos. He's full of knowledge and knows what he's doing. Excited for the Evo series, I come from the Evo 8 generation, and think the Evo X gets a bad rap.

Just found this, but looking forward to watching the rest. I personally just got my own Evo X, and always learning new stuff about cars in general, so it's nice to see the ins and outs of general maintenance and onto modding, I'm learning while I watch, love it. :)

I fully built my 15 Evo x. Car is psychotic. No regrets. Wicked white for the win!
if fill plug won't come out on the evo you can fill using the top sensor and dropping fluid down that opening but you will want to make sure no over filling so you really need to know capacity it takes at that point but that is the last option to fill trans up if fill plug won't come loose.
Super excited for this build! Evo 10 is a gorgeous car (that front end) and a perfect canvas for what you guys do so well.
In the future hot water works great for ppf removal. And it’s easy to redo the pan gasket when you change the oil. Most of the time it’s just fpig gasket maker.

I’m excited for this too. First things first fuel pump relays, keep an eye on the manifold it will crack more than likely but you guys are probably gonnna go over all of that
Double Evo owner here ('03 GSR, '10 MR). I'd be putting money down on that Evo was doing Auto-X events. Mud underneath, brand new suspension (meaning they put them in storage), super clean wheels (garaged), heat cycled calipers, brand new brakes and pads (sold the Auto-X stuff), metal shavings in the trans.
you can drain and fill the ayc fluid in the rear diff. it doesnt require bleeding the ayc pump lines

You guys gonna need to build or buy heat shield for the fire wall cause them turbo manifold gets Hella hot .I see some evo 10 in flames but its up to you guys if you guys go bigger turbo setup.

I'm very interested in seeing a detailed video on the vapor blasting for the under body. I seen it performed on a NSX restoration, but it was only the result, not the process. You Throttl guys are pros now, i think you should get a proper oil leak tester with the dye, UV light and glasses to verify oil leaks. It would make good video content. Good video guys 💪

Cool tip of the day about the drain plug , but if the upper plug doesn’t wanna go out you can always use the welder 😃 heat it real good and glue the new hardware with magic and fire.😃

check the ayc pump and exhaust manifold very prone to cracking along with timing chain stretching theres an updated version avalible
This a 2013, it came with the updated timing chain from factory
AYC Is a computerized rear diff control that sends different amounts of power to the rear wheels to combat understeer in a turn.
You can actually fill the transmission fluid through the top. Right under the intake box!!
I would love to have this car man! The Evo X has always been my dream car
The metal on the trans plug is syncros. That transmission will be difficult to shift into gear at high rpms.

that style Mitsubishi drain plug is common for leaking aswell as the OEM oil filters sweating a bit.

I own a 2008 Mitsubishi lancer GTS and I am in love with the car I've had it for over a year now and Everytime I drive it still feels like the first day I bought it. It is my first car so that might be why lol but I've learned a bit about how it works by replacing some parts but I need some advice on where I should go to get a little bit cheaper parts because as you most likely know imports can be more on the pricey side to repair so if you could lmk anywhere that can help with that thx love the vids keep up the good work
