Again, a great update. Thanks for the demonstration 👍🏻 As commented on your previous video, the developer really should add External Clock Sync. It would open up a whole lot of extra possibilities within hybrid workflows. I’m for instance using my iPad as an FX processor for external gear. For that I would use AUM as a slave, now we need Loopy Pro or Audiobus to accomplish that.
@ It means it’s awesome! With the new clock division and already present octave shifting you can do natively in AUM what you could do with a brilliant app and auv3 called Fugue Machine.
@@lensmanicfeleven1847 how…? You mean instead of AUM…? Because than Audiobus or Loopy Pro can do it, too. There’s also some workaround with Audiobus syncing AUM via Ableton Link, but that needs a man in the middle to accomplish such a ‘basic’ feature.
@@maikvanrossumMIDI Link Sync works outside of AUM and other host apps, but can connect that host app with an external clock or sequencer etc, and that external clock then sets the Link tempo of AUM and all apps hosted there. Worked last time I used it, which was over a year ago admittedly, and should be still free I think. For an added bonus it can also be added to the right hand swipe bar thing on the iPad so it can be swiped in and out of your session without window swapping.
@ thanks! I think you mean ‘Link to MIDI’, because ‘MIDI Link Sync’ resolves to that app on the App Store. The problem is that it hasn’t been updated in 8 years or so. But indeed Ableton Link does allow you to sync multiple Link-enabled devices and apps, and AUM can run as such an app. ‘Link to MIDI’ bridges the gap to non-Link-compatible software or hardware, by sending MIDI Clock Sync to them. Then again, AUM cannot sync to external MIDI clock sources, so we’re back at Ableton Link for sync, which is great for starting and stopping multiple sequencers (over a LAN-network or even the internet), but lacks the more direct control MIDI Clock has to offer.
These plugins are an integral part of iOS since ages and have always been visible in Garageband and could be integrated into any host, as the dev of AUM has now implemented.
Hey Doug! Thanks for posting this. Quick question, why do you use the gain module instead of just raising the mixer volume a little more on the voice channel?
I think they just exist on iOS, they have been available in GarageBand for ages. I don’t think you need either Logic or GarageBand to to use these effects

Fugue machine goes native!
What does that mean exactly?

A comment for the day of Boxing. Hope you had a great day yesterday.
Thank you Doug. Some interesting possibilities with the new clock functions.
Thanks Doug...Jo.....Hope you had a GREAT Xmas !!!....
Thanks for the update, Doug! Happy Boxing Day!
You can do that on eg nodes by changing the number of steps on a node you can also add fugue as a plugin and change the clock speed
Thanks great to the point demo, tangerine dream is what I thought of too 🙂✌️
Woah, awesome, thanks !!
Nice update! But i need AUM to RECEIVE midi clock and MMC, not just send it or manage it!
...there are some apps for this....one used to be "MIDI Link Sync"....I think "Midi Flow" also did this....

When did those Apple AUV plugs show up??? That is nuts.
....it's Apple tryin to get into the Game.....

Nice🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

..."gain" can be added to any separate AUM channel....Some apps just have a low volume out of the box....
Question: Where are the Apple AUv3 coming from in this context? AUM is iOS only, right? I don't own Logic, is that where they come from?
I think they just exist on iOS, they have been available in GarageBand for ages.

@@TheSoundTestRoom Thanks! So I suppose I have them and didn't know it :)
It would be nice to be able to change bpm at certain points like in the new update of cubasis
Can 4pockets midi mixer do this? Or does aum not expose the control?
@@jasonjayalap i will check this, i dont have it. but thanks for the cue
