judging by their ingame performence they are intended to be turkeys for the fighters
That’s an issue with the metagame, not with Flight models. Bomber pilots are essentially forbidden from returning to base until all enemy aircraft are destroyed, which makes absolutely no sense.
@@spindash64 so gunners only opening fire at enemies that are 300m or less away is not a problem in your eyes?

Hey gaijin, I found one of your mistakes, unfortunately in console versions of the game your controls reset at random even if you have them saved. It can happen between vehicle spawns to between matches. Also, big fan of what you do!

More annoying is that crossplay is basically mandatory and you are instantly identified by @live, leading to teamkilling and general abuse.

Does carrying more ammo make your tank heavier?

Chesty I think they’ve answered this before, they said no ammunition does not affect the weight seeing as they are multi ton vehicles the only thing having a lot of ammunition does is make you easier to explode if they are hit.

Supposedly, internal ammo weight IS modeled for planes though: I mean, I knew fuel was, but I wasn’t sure if ammo was the same

If James H. Howard did a heroic thing, Next time you should mention Miklós Kenyeres from the HRAF.
He shot down the soviet fighter who forced to land his mate on a field what was surrounded by forest and soviet forces.
Kenyeres landed on plow with his ME-109, dropt the canopy and he and his mate got into the ME-109 and took off through plow and ditch.
Germans said: "They have more experience than the hungarians but they never dare to think like that with the ME-109."

In the D-5 Stuka I took out 4 American fighters 2 of which were p38 lightning’s that didn’t attack me even when they flew 100 feet above and below me at the same time. Those also were the only players who climbed on their team

For the Hotline: How do you guys decide what becomes a premium or is put into the main tree? There are many examples of prototype aircraft being in the main tree
I may not always agree with Gaijin as a company, but these Shooting Range videos with Bruce are done well and I always find myself to enjoy watching them
I used to play the bejeezus out of the Chi-Nu 2 during squadron battles a couple two three years ago.
The bomber versions of Do 217 with their MG/FF's are also very good for shooting unaware fighters in head on attacks. Talking about the Dornier, what about adding more medium bomber options for the Germans like the Ju 88 family and its successors (namely Ju 188)? Currently we only have Ju 88A and the heavy fighter Ju 88C + two premiums (Ju 288 and Ju 388).

When are you going to fix the Ho-5 cannons? Right now, they do less consistent damage than a 7.7mm machine gun. I'm burning through my entire ammo reserve just to kill one plane

What about regular historical events ? I'd like to be scared more often when a tiger appears
The Chi-Nu II and the Chi-Nu really aren't different. It's just the cannon. Both get the Type 4 Kou shell. But - The Chi-Nu has a trick up it's sleeve. (The smoke shell.) I use that for decoys and it works a charm.
Canibal bombers we tend to call it gun-shipping

For anyone wanting to attempt their own cannibal bombers, the D-5 Stuka is a more effective fighter without the gunpods.
I sometimes have a glitch where when I run out of amo or my guns overheat in aircraft. The firing sound will continue to play even if I am not clicking the fire button. Can you fix this?

I suggest A-20 Havoc or Boston as it can turn relatively sharp for a medium bomber. You got no defense turrets tho.

The only mode where bombers are effective is ab when you can see and avoid your enemies a lot easier

I think there is a glitch (?) on the IL-2 37. At realistic battles when you "boost" (W by default) it is like pushing a bit the clutch.
It revs higher but the speed/power goes down.... You release the "boost" and it starts accelerating again.
Please, take a look at it.

I've read on the interwebz that modern MBTs have ventilation systems that prevent the tank from exploding when the ammo rack is hit by venting all the explosive stuff outside of the tank. This lets the tank survive an ammo rack hit and possibly get to safety. Does the game have such a feature aswell or is there a plan to add this in?
Shoot the M1A1 on the back where the ammo is you will see. The thing is meant to in reality give time for the crew to escape.

Will we ever see helicopters AB back ? It is extremely difficult to grind them actually, for we are sniped by AA guided missiles on spawn, it is very unbalanced... :(

Hey gaijin. I almost researched all tanks in 2 tech trees, where will the research go once I have them all, could you maybe make it possible to research aircraft once all tanks are researched? This will really help since rank 2 planes are hopeless at rank 6-7 battles.
