Perhaps I am too introverted, but I find the left hanging the worst could happen to me in a social context. I actually remember all the times when it happened in my life, I can't get over them.

Its really not that bad. It happens. Big deal, there's bigger issues in the world so laugh it off. I don't judge anyone based off a missed high five or handshake because I simply don't care. Its actually kinda funny because it looks stupid but people gotta learn how to laugh at themselves.
