If you have a Daiso Japan anywhere near you (the Japanese $2 store) go check it out. If you are into fountain pens, they sell Apica papers all the time, drawing papers, rice, origami, cardstock....It is a great affordable source for me.
I use lots of different types of paper, I love Arches hot pressed watercolour paper (185 or 300 gsm), and also Ca Grain by Canson (224 gsm) which is my go to mixed media paper
Thank you for this! Today is the first day of the 5-Day Little Library Challenge. I watched this video while making my signatures. The info about these papers in the video so helpful - nice to know why you like the papers you do and how you use them.
great questions. Think about how you will use the paste paper. If I plan to use them as a soft cover for a book, I pick a heavy drawing paper. But if I plan to wrap the paste paper around book board to make a hard cover book, I use a lighter weight paper. The Mohawk superfine is lovely for paste papers.
@@VintagePageDesigns Thanks for the reply - I've also only just seen your video on paste papers (late to the party - as ever!) which I found very helpful, thank you!

Where do you get affordable leather for book covers?
I love interacting with other people
Thanks for that, it has helped refine thinking about what I need from paper - any thoughts on what are the important characteristics for paste-papers?
