Just returned from the Riu, all went well. food was good, staff was good, clean rooms, no complaints. would stay again.

We had a Diamond reward card which gave us a lot of benefits,we visited 36 Riu hotels some or them many times,unfortunately depending on what part of the world you went the Riu brand deteriorated.

I just got back from Riu Republic and I was disappointed the food sucks…..and the drinks is water down for some reason….
Was it worth the money? I heard that it’s very cheap. If the food isn’t worst then fast food, I think I may be able to overlook it. Also, is it really a party place and are there lots of young, single partiers?
@@tyrantula767 Yeah it worth the price but they don’t play hip hop in the Disco pure Spanish muzik but you have to experience it for yourself…
@@tyrantula767 I go off the resort in town it’s like a 7 mins taxi ride $20 US there is a club Infinity you would love it
@@errolgordon9615 are the pool parties at republica any good? I’d really not like to have to leave the resort at all if possible. It seems that Riu Republica is really the only party resort, all the others seem like they’re for older people and couples. Are their lot of single girls at the resort. That way I don’t have to leave?
@@tyrantula767 more than you can imagine lots of girls and you have local girls that come to the resort too….There party is very good

Excellent hotel however punta Cana isn’t a great location. The beach Is beautiful but the sea is rough. I certainly would be walking out of the hotel grounds it’s very debatable
God is everywhere but sleeps in dominican republic.
I cant argue with that logic.

How much per night ⁉️
Rates tend to vary depending on what time of year you book. I’ve seen video from “coolist” who got for $99 a year ago lucky but they can be up to $399. Per person. Time of year, room type, view and number of people change costs. Price includes room, food, alcohol and on-site entertainment at bars/pools. Very much a party resort younger vibe 20s & 30s mostly but occasionally older.

Ok so we were just at riu republica last week and here are my takeaways….on the plus side-1. the beach was beautiful with plenty of chairs on the beach and plenty of shade and room under the palms if you need to get out of the sun. 2. The jerk chicken stand by the beach is amazing!! 3. At The steak house, the meat sampler for 2 was delicious but the “sirloin of beef” at the Mexican restaurant “ole” was even better. The Asian restaurant was pretty good-get the chicken that is between the duck and spare ribs-very good! The main buffet was what I expected for a riu for breakfast and dinner. the property and room were clean..reading some of the other comments, my wife agreed that the beds were hard……here comes my biggest complaint, we were in the building at the polar opposite of the beach which is back behind the mango restaurant-there was an ice machine on every floor of our building- none of them worked… I went to the adjacent building and the 1st 3 of the ice machines I tried, were all broke as well….IT WASNT UNTIL I GOT TO THE 8th ICE MACHINE THAT I TRIED AND FOUND IT WORKING--that’s 1 in 8 ice machines that worked- Ridiculous!!!
