Wow! Ray, thank you for sharing that beautiful video. My family and I holidayed in Ramsey annually since I was 4 years old in 1950. So may times we'd walked up to the Albert Tower I think my little legs couldn't go any further! Delightful to see the full curve of Ramsey Bay. I recall that my dad used to lead us on a regular pilgrimage to a run down small holding in Glen Aulden, occupied by a rather eccentric guy called I think "Bill Collins", who I suspect he knew from evenings spent in "The Saddle", long after I was put to bed! Happy days and simple pleasures. In later years, after I was married, both my parents and my wife and I had several lovely holidays on the island staying with a lovely lady called Anna Corlett who used to work in Arnolds Store. Sadly, I think the house is gone now, Ballamilghyn Villa up Baldhoon Road. It was quite an imposing sight as you passed through Laxey towards Ramsey. I stumbled upon the link to this video whilst Googling "Mike Quinne - Sunrise over Ramsey", which was tonight's Granada Weather picture! Took me to "Manx Photographers" Facebook Page, thanks to them for allowing "Non Facebookers" to view the lovely photography there.🥰
Thank you for getting in touch, i am a southside man, don't have any knowledge on the people you mentioned sadly, they sound like characters though. We have some fabulous snappers on the Island, and as you observed it is truly a lovely place to live Keep healthy Ray
