I loved 😍 listening to both of you today ❤ I'm a Momma of 8 grown children and a Grand Mother of 23 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren we are truly blessed 🙌 our Son was our first the hospital cost was $600 and my OB cost was included in the hospital bill 💙
Love when you have Denise on with you. Great tips, got be careful at some consignments though because they will overcharge - especially for girl clothes!
My son got so many clothes and baby things given to him he needed… a crib mattress and that was it. When my grand baby was 1 I asked what she needed my son said… actually 18 month clothes. I found someone in a good area selling all their 18 month clothes for $25 Canadian… it was all gap and Carter’s. I could have bought 2 new things… but I got her a decent full wardrobe instead.
Great video ☺️ The one baby item I couldn’t have lived without was a baby wearing wrap. Do your research before you buy one though, or better yet, wait to buy one once bubs is here, so you can try them out to find the right one for you. And try to buy everything second hand. You’d be surprised how different each baby can be, and what works for one, won’t work for another. At least if you buy second hand, you won’t lose much (if any) money when you re-sell it.
It is such a common misinformation that nurses assure the correct installment of a car seat. Not the case! Check with your hospital protocol in regards to all car seat matters. Even your local fire department can help list resources for that correct fit.
Borrowing items is the way to go. Most of the items that I can’t live without are borrowed from a friend who wasn’t using them at the moment and will be given back when my baby girl outgrows it or when my friend has another baby. I also bought my crib and rocking chair second hand from a friend. You can also get boxes of clothes from people on Facebook marketplace for free or really cheap. You aren’t wrong, people just want the clothes out of their house. I have a few clothes I’m saving for if I have a second girl, but the rest can go.
Great video. It would be nice if you had a list of essentials items & links included of what to get....say $500 budget & $1000 budget that would be very helpful 😀
I'm a RN with no children, but I was hoping to get some ideas for the clients that I work with who are on Medicaid. Unfortunately, a lot of the information will not be useful.
The cost depends on so many variables. Your baby could be healthy, breastfed (free), stay at home with a parent (no childcare costs), and be fine in Walmart diapers and consignment clothes. :) I brought my first home 5 years ago in a $50 carseat and was given many things--a stroller, a swing, a baby wrap, and clothes. We were on a poor grad student's health insurance and salary, so the hospital/prenatal visits totaled $200.
It’s amazing to watch this generation throw away a huge part of life because of “money”. It’s really an excuse but sad that it’s been ingrained in people’s minds. Also pisses me off to hear “kids are sooo expensive” Really!?! Think of the things you waste money on and you’re afraid to invest in your own Child! Come on people grow up
@@brendaspamperedkitchen9878 that is such a weird response. It would have been nice for someone who could really have used the help to win. Why is that hard to understand?
I watched this and my kids are already grown!! I really enjoy watching you sisters interact! Hoping to someday watch a video of you two and your mom!
This video was very timely for me. I’m expecting my first baby in April and hearing your experiences is extremely helpful! Love your show
Love this episode! Baby coming in less than 4 weeks. Thankfully we have saved up money to help cover doctor bills.

Perfect timing! I’m expecting my first baby and have no idea where to start.

Great tips guys! Denise was such a breathe of fresh air!

Changing table & diaper bins are extremely unnecessary imo!
My last baby hated the MomARoo too. Fisher Price plug in (no batteries) necessary
They been recalled but ohhh fisher price rock and play was heaven sent. Had a hard getting my lo transitioned to his crib 😀
We cloth diapered. Best decision ever
Same! We’re doing it now and it saves so much!
Cloth diapers have saved us so much money! We also didn't get any baby gear (swings, etc) and that saved too. You don't need most things.

Hey good afternoon are we able to do the baby steps when expecting our first child. Please help thank you
By not having any 😂

I get my diapers and formula from Aldi. you can get 100 diapers for about $11!
My husband heard how much it costs to raise a baby and said we aren't having any now 🤣🤣 We are currently kidless. Great tips for the future though!

Might have been nice for a non multi millionaire to win the car seat
Why? Winning is winning
