Stripped is one of her best albums for sure. You should do the same kind of video for Back to Basics :)
This album is a bible!!!!
Oscar Castro it should be a given that when you hit adolescence you are gifted this album. I got given this album when it was released when I was 10 and I still turn to it religiously for comfort and strength. I would be a more damaged person if I did not have this album to turn to at times when I needed it.

Nyar ttaffom Gaga has more singles and total records sold. Aguilera has sold more albums than her anyway. (Actually Stripped sold more than born this way as an album). And Madonna is the best selling female singer of all time. What does it mean? This video has nothing to do with gaga.

Backstory on Beautiful is: Linda Perry wrote it, played it for Pink when she worked on her album, Pink wanted it but Perry told her it was too personal to her and didn't let her have it. Then Perry worked with Xtina, Xtina sang it once, and Perry gave it to her. She felt like X connected with the spirit of the song (Perry insisted they use the first take on the album, hence the "don't look at me"). Took Pink about a decade to get over the one-two punch of this episode and Xtina's slayage on the Lady Marmalade remake, but I guess that's neither here nor there.

"Underappreciated", "Get Mine, Get Yours", and "Soar" are my favorite songs on the album. "Stripped" is also Xtina's best album ever and one of the greatest of all time!

MY FAVORITE ALBUM OF XTINA'S. Ughhh... it was so ahead of it's time.
You should react to her performing I'm OK live at VH1 Storytellers. She has only performed the song once (twice if you count the rehearsal for this performance) and she prefaces the song with a really emotional message about the meaning of the song and why it was so hard for her to perform...
Plus: Linda Perry did P!nk's Missundaztood album which was her first album where P!nk made the kind of music she wanted to make, as opposed to her record label. But then Lady Marmalade came around and Christina's manager allegedly came in and said to everybody in the studio "Okay, what's the high part? Christina's gonna be singing that part" and P!nk didn't agree with that and had a beef with Christina ever since. Then Linda Perry wrote Beautiful and gave it to Christina because she really wanted to sing it, but then P!nk obviously wasn't too happy. They have since made up because when Christina was judge on the Voice she asked P!nk to be the guest judge.
Also, you have heard Impossible, because there was this girl on the Voice that sang it, but Christina's team was full so she couldn't turn around. And then in the end Christina sang Impossible along with the contestant and the video went viral sorta.
Plus, what I really like about this album are all the transitions. From Walk Away into Fighter, from Primer Amor into Infatuation, from Loves Embrace into Loving Me 4 Me, from Dirrty into Stripped Pt. 2 (Because I don't know if you noticed, but the ending part of Dirrty on the album version is different from the single version), from The Voice Within into I'm OK... They're all perfect.
Stripped and Back to Basics are her best works.

Linda Perry wrote buetiful when Xtina was planning on working with Linda, xtina heard the song and wanted to record it. Linda didn't think xtina could sing it because she was pretty, but when Linda saw that xtina was insecure to sing it in front of people she knew xtina was insecure too. Xtina actually said "don't look at me" like in the beginning of the song
She also worked with Linda on I'm ok she was crying while recording it. Her mom and her left her father when she was 6 or 7
This song was planned for Pink. The song in the album actually her first time recorded this song. Christina didn't like it and wanted to record and added more technique in the song. However, Linda loved it so much and told her she had to use this version. They didn't talk with each other for a while because Christina was mad at Linda.
I really miss Linda. All of her songs for Christina are soooooooo good. I hope that we will hear from them again.

She recorded "I'm OK" lying down on her back, on the floor in the studio. Crazy.
Thematically, Stripped is probably her best album but in every other respect, Back to Basics wins (imo). Bionic was also criminally underrated. Her debut album was ok for its time I guess but it does nothing for me. The video for Come On Over is one of the most quintessentially late 90s/early 2000s music videos on UA-cam though. It's awesome! 😁

All of these years stripped is still relevant. And still slay to every pop album in the industry today. Its like a bible to vocal. So many styles and techniques christina puts together in one album.. and it deserves to be named as one of the greatest album of all time.. IMO..

Walk away is still my favorite Xtina song by far!
+ Soo while I have grown to like "Make Over", the road to liking it was very ardous & didn't happen over night. In fact it took years of many album plays. What pisses me off however is that Christina Aguilera released a beautiful ballad titled "I Will Be" as the b-side to her "Dirrty" single. And I still can't believe that her record label allowed her to put "Make Over" on the album over "I Will Be". Like whaaaaaaat? Whyyyyy?

What I meant was from this new generation Demi seems the most like xtina with how she sings how she pours her heart in her music being able to emote so much emotions something her peers lacks in thier music and well power in her voice that soul is close to xtina hence why xtina wanted to record with her cuz out of most xtina sees Demi as a true vocalist , not sure about Lauren she’s amazing but she different

LAMOROSI Originals Their all so good! I love the whole album but the unreleased songs are on the same par if not better than some of the singles released off it. My fav upbeat song is Dirrty though

I've been enjoying your listen and review series on your channel, especially Christina recently coming across them. And I love to hear your take and seeing as you grew up with her as well listening to it from a 2018 and singer perspective is something that I'm enjoying. I also appreciate that you enjoyed her adlibs and extra riffs on the side that she adds that everyone glosses over besides avid fans I think people especially the newer generation nowadays forget that Christina has been and can still be a force to be reckoned with and definitely making her way to Legend status. thanks for sharing

I was 10 when this came out and this put xtina on the map for me. I LOVED this album and my fast ass would dance to dirty in my basement 😂
The only other album by Christina that's as good as this is Back to Basics. And some of the Burlesque soundtrack. The rest is hit or miss, for me personally.

It was a very dark album, something that i was thankful for, since i'm not her fan and i think dangerous woman by ariana was a kind of copy of walk away by aguilera. I have to add something more, 7:08 isn't this tone what ariana always does when she sings? wow it's so Christina Aguilera, it's like this girl has taken a bit of tone from the biggest stars, wow no wonder why she's huge. *Al most forgot about this album and now i'm like analyzing and it's very interesting.
She cut out of her Christina era ever since 2015 or around that, now Ariana has definitely found her style
Stripped Tour is incredible! I can agree with you on the middle section of the album with "Make Over". But, Cruz and Soar are just too beautiful to cut out. It's funny how "Miss Independent" fits so well in this album.. she wrote it for stripped, but then she gave it to Kelly. Some tea for ya. Stripped is Christina's best album. Back to Basics is her best vocally. And yes, Liberation is like Stripped's God Mother😏 Great reaction vid Cedric.

I've only heard the singles when I was younger, and discovered the full album a few years later. The songs are so timeless and have aged so well, I'm appalled that this album lost the grammy for best pop vocal album to Timberlake's "Justified".

Oh my gosh! I’m older than yooouuu whaaaaat. I was 12 when this came out in 2002. So this was my anthem in my teenage years up to my college days. That’s why this album means more to me than any other of her albums. But I also love B2B, Lotus, Bionic and Liberation. My favorites are Walk Away, Impossible and The Voice Within. Always gives me the chills, even today.
