He thought that the descendants understand what their grandfathers did, and because of that the whole nation should not be mudslinging. My family and I have been going to his grave every year since that day and remember him.
I'm portuguese, I saw this show in Lisbon with my son, it was unbelieveble, not enough words to discribe it, just amazing, out of this world. Next year I'm going to see them in Barcelona, again with my son. It will be the fourth time I'll see RAMMSTEIN.

They united and wrote this song “Germany Germany over all” with the original meaning that being united as one country is better than being split apart. The nazis took the phrase literally in the meaning that Germany is over everything and anyone in the world. Nowadays it’s cut out of the anthem because of the Nazi problem and because in another line it described the old German borders with “von der Maas bis an die Memel”. Sorry if I butchered it, English ain’t my first language haha

So... It's ubber ALLEN and this change in particular means a lot. "über alles" is used for putting something above everything, whereas "über allen" is used for being above everybody. In the song context it's used both as a mockery to the Nazi moto "Deutschland über alles" and as a way to say that the sentiment of being German should be put above the people who use(d) it for their own agenda. (Edit): In the music video you can see that Till, as a prisioner in the concentration camp, says it while looking directly to the camera, emphasizing the "Über Allen".

Probably the most valuable song I've heared in last several years. I doubth there are enough descendants of those who wiped out natives from certain areas who will really understand this song (or from other parts of the golden billion area). Probably the most valuable song I've heared in last several years. I doubth there are enough descendants of those who wiped out natives from certain areas who will really understand this song (or from other parts of the golden billion area). This clip captures the spectacle very well but obviously can't capture the audio. The moment that the intro riff kicks in is absolutely skull crushing, one of my favourite ever "heavy" concert moments.
