@@pianime94 it's just a thing i had the moment i saw how he cuts himself, like ok he wants to die that's understandable but why his sword only glow when he cuts himself and why he have do cut himself before attacking? it was said that his sword is an special type, legendary or something like that, and maybe it needs some kind of sacrifice to release its power and since blade is an immortal the two fit well together
Pretty sure it's more him imbuing his weapon with Mara than blood. He's a mortal that had immortality forced onto him by Dan Feng, who then succumbed to Mara, which is why he's borderline insane when the Mara acts up. It makes sense that when Kafka lets him "unleash the Mara", he goes to imbue his weapon with the gold shit.
@@ritsukaya8073Blade when he was still a mortal was a blacksmith. He forged many great weapons, 4 of which were his most famous. The "Shard Sword" (was used by Jingliu during her glory days), the Devastator Glaive (Jing Yuan's weapon), Cloud-Piercer (Dan Feng and now Dan Heng's weapon) and a recurve bow for a foxian woman we haven't seen yet. Those 4 and him formed the High-Cloud Quintet a group of famous Xianzhou heroes.
So, in Silver Wolf's voice line about Blade she mentions that his hand never seems to heal and now we know why: He keeps cutting it... which is very disturbing, if you ask me
Looking at this now I have no idea why that'd be the case unless maybe it was already cut before he got immortal as we can see him regen near instantly and considering he's essentially fused with an abundance emanator healing, growing and regrowing at will seems like something that he'd absolutely be capable of doing. Unless he's cutting his hand right then just to avoid playing with sw. I think it's more likely he just uses the fact he's covered in bandages to get out of playing games with sw, as he doesn't even use his phone he seems to have no interest in games. In terms of physical health he's probably one of the healthiest people in existence xd.
Another detail when JingLiu came out is that her light cone: “I shall be my own sword” the blade she dropped into the see was the sword that Blade’s using.
Well we know a fair few more things now, that blade, the shard sword, was one of Yingxing's (Blade when he was still mortal) masterpieces and he gave it to Jingliu as only she could bring out its true value, it's also said to be very heavy. As we know Jingliu replaced it with her near weightless sword made of ice.
I like these details!!! As another Blade enjoyer I randomly found this while browsing for whether to pull for him or not HAHA If you're pulling, good luck! (Oh also -- the relic set Passerby of Wandering Cloud seems to be from Blade's POV)
Thank you! Of course, I plan to pull him no matter what, haha! Yeah, that relic set tells about Blade's past though some parts are still ambiguous. Maybe we'll get a clearer ideas soon 🙏
They might have revealed Blades real name. I'm really not sure, i might misheard it, but they appear to share the same Voice, in one of the water echoes, you can her Dan Feng (Dan Heng previous incarnation) talk to somebody called Yingxing, a mortal species, who might possibly even be an outworlder, that came to the Luofo as an elixier seeker and somehow made Dan Feng indebted to him, hence why Blade became immortal, despite him not being a Dragon-person or Foxian.
i love how they're like "we are literally not on good terms" and then their earrings are just matching, like the homies went "if we're gonna play cat and mouse for eternity might as well make it known"
@@hulahupjinggaIf his relic lore is accurate, they might even have been lovers. The set vaguely refers to Dan Feng and Blade (without naming either, but the story lines up w/ Blade) and how Dan Feng made his beloved into a monstrosity. So Mortal Blade into a Mara-stricken immortal.
@@T8-TR Hi! I play in chinese version, and it's really hinted at (maybe typo). The phrase that it might be is "推杯换盏" which translates to "pushing cups (wine) to change the bowls (drinking)" and means that the two individuals have a close relationship (doesn't necessarily imply romantic) Now, that would be normal, but in the actual version of set that is out in the game is spelt like this: "推杯换盅". Now, you may not see a difference, but it's "换盏" (huan zhan) (actual saying) vs "换盅" (huan zhong) (in-game). 换盅 = relatively same thing as 换盏, BUT, 换盅 is something that occurs in marriage ceremony. Whereas 换盏 is just normal saying. For the writers to actively choose to put 换盅 instead is very interesting... It's very strange for it to be a typo as well, because chinese keyboard uses QWERTY with suggestions that pop up. When I type "zhong", the first things that will pop up are 中、种、钟, etc, but 盅 is very uncommon word, so it had to have been a choice? Anyways, it's been in the game like that for a couple of patches, and the chinese community has been going wild over it, so no way that hyv doesn't know, lol. Small note: I don't really care for shipping
I really enjoy these tiny details!! Thanks for making this video~ Though I wanna correct that it's "Sword of Goujian" not "Guojian", it's a very famous sword but I've never thought that they are related, kudos to you!!
Thanks for watching, too! Damn, I can't believe I made that typo. But it is what it is 😔. Haha, it's just something I noticed since Jian is a type of bronze sword and the Sword of Goujian really has that vibrant yellow bronze color which maybe what Sushang's sword based on too.
Haha, thank you so much! Yeah, once we get to know more about Blade I do plan to make a design analysis video about him. He's just choke full of symbolism.
Blade and Dan Heng also both have a green little "thing"/accessoir, idk what its called, Blade on his belt above his left thigh and Dan Heng on his coat above his right thigh
Hi! A small correction I want to make: 刃 is essentially Blade (of any weapon, 刀 or 剑) , and 剑 is literally sword, and is not a variant of sword. For example, 二郎神's 三尖两刃刀, has two "blades". "剑(英文:Sword,三尺: 剑的别称,因通体长三尺,故以之为剑的代称。三尺剑: 剑的泛称。七尺: 古代长剑的代称。利剑: 名剑的泛称。宝剑: 剑的泛称)是一种兵器。"
Also, another fun fact is that in Blade's trailer he blows out the candlelight, and in shows like 鬼吹灯 (treasure hunting shows) if you lit a candle and it is blown out the ghosts/monsters are watching you and are not happy with your presence. In the first episode, when the candle blows out, a mummy monster appears, implying that blade may be a monster of some sort (he's mara-struck too!)
@@Et18_Andromeda What I took from that is that the candles are everyone's lives and he's snuffing them out as he's killing them, at the end he tries to snuff one last one but it won't go out because it's his own and he can't die.
thw way he fights just sum up what he want ti do even tho elio alr promised him once everything is done ( wich is not likely bc im guess elio is a WHOLE plot swing ) Blade fighting sum up I hurt myself to kill enemy (lets just hope none of my alies notice) Bailu , Natasha , Loucha : B*tch what ?
