Woow ! Heraklion is relaxed and a cosy town..I was at Heraklion airport a few times .But immediately always took a shuttle to Ierapetra..But next time ( hopefully sept.'21 ) i'll fly to Heraklion again. Will stay there for sure a few days before i travel further on Crete ! Thank you for this nice vid. Take care. ! Greetings from the Netherlands .

I first came to Crete in April 2001 and found iraklio to be my kind of place.........😉🏴
I lived on the island for 2 years. What a beautiful life the Greek people have. They live life to the fullest!
πω, πω, μου θύμισε πολύ Μοναστηράκι, Ερμού, πλατεία Αγίας Ειρήνης, Ψυρη κλπ, γενικά ιστορικό κέντρο Αθήνας σαν αίσθηση...
Ναι φίλε πολύ μεγάλη πόλη εγώ στα Χανιά εμένα και στο Ηράκλειο δεν πήγα ποτέ αλλά είναι σαν την Αθήνα και την Θεσσαλονίκη. Εντάξει εγώ πάλι τα Χανιά προτιμώ γιατί είναι ποιο ηρεμώ μέρος και εμένα μαρεσει λίγο ποιο μικρο μέρος όπως είναι τα Χανιά.

This Video was made at least last summer. I was there beginning of November 2020 for a week. Since then no cafe/taverna is open anymore. My mother lives in Heraklion. So I'm up to date ;-) I was also confused because the titel of this video ...2021... ?!

Κανενας δεν φοραει μασκα στο βιντεο γιατι η πρωτη λογικη σκεψη που ερχετε ειναι οτι το βιντεο εγινε ισως το καλοκαιρι του 2019? Διαβαζωντας το σχολιο σας καταλαβαινει καποιος οτι γνωριζετε απο ηρακλειο και το καλοκαιρι του 2020 αρκετοι κυκλοφορουσαν με μασκες καθημερινα.

Dont come to Greece, is an ever growing police state. We have 6 months quarantine and the state open borders and trafficing for tourism despite having every week record numbers in deaths and coronavirus cases.
Dont support our economy because our state literally cares more for tourists than its citizens. Now that i write this comment, there are tourists that walk in Heraklion but students are prohibited to go in their study city and generally outside their neighbourhoods..

ive been to Heraklion its very nice but nothing compared to Rethymno which is a short drive away
