It's a blot on Ian Foster's increasingly tarnished reputation that Jordie Barrett only got a look-in at 12 because of a midfield injury crisis that took down Goodhue, Lienert-Brown, Havili, and Ennor. Besides the obvious fact that he played at 12 for the NZ Colts and in high school, JB is a natural midfielder. Big, strong, fast enough, great hands, strong in the tackle, can kick with both feet, and a good eye for the gap. He should've been picked in the midfield with the ABs from day one. Who cares where the Hurricanes pick him?
Ironic that the first "highlight" for Jordie Barrett is actually a highlight of Will Jordan/Beauden Barrett. And again @1:10 the highlight is the offload and kick... not Barrett who completes a good finish, but nothing that wouldn't be expected from a professional player multiple times a game
I know this video is about Jordie Barrett, but the kick from Nathan Harris blows my mind every time I see it.
I wouldn't say he's underrated at all - most people rate him highly. Great video though!
