Your videos are so informative. Everything you say matches my daughter's experience. Tuition depends on the state you are in but in all of Germany it is minimal compared to the US. Having the money in a locked account to show you can afford your rent and to live there is something people need to know, but with shared apartments for students the actual costs can be reasonable like you said. My daughter went to college in the US. She then went to Cologne in Germany to get a Masters Degree. It was an international program so the classes were in English, which was good as she wasn't yet fluent in German. She found that in Germany there was a lot less professor office hours and no options to make up tests or get extra credit like there is in the US.
