I literally just picked an AP1 just 2 weeks ago with 60K and it looks and drives like no other car I've driven in recent years, which is exactly the reason I got it. I have a B9 RS5 that I daily and quite frankly no matter how fast it is on paper it just can't live up to this Hondas generation of vehicles. I've had many sporty cars and I'm always wanting the older generation feel as everything has become numb and techno-laden these days. I have been searching for a while and the 9000 rpm engine was a must for me as there are limited automobiles that can actually rev that high, especially in a world where nothing is unique anymore and the same turbo engine can be used in an entire lineup with just a different tune. I really appreciated your video as we seem to share the same views on this matter.

I don't think I'll ever sell mine. I wish crate engines were available from Honda. They would sell like hot cakes. After all, people put them in not just S2000s.
I mean, the next closest thing (mechanically) is a Jaguar F type (front midship, can be had with a manual, double wishbones) but still not the same, and probably not Honda reliable, especially on the track. Duh!
:) NC was also a consideration for me as that's the only one I can fit in haha. Wish I could shrink myself at times. Thanks for checking out the video!
@@REVlogue i like all reliable Japanese convertibles. i like em all na nb nc nd mrs and s2k. i am like 6 foot too and iam around 210 lbs. s2k is awesome, but i am scared i wont fit with stock steering wheel and they are crazy expensive, but like you said it is a 15 years old car and still expensive because probably fast and furious. idk.
i had a mrs, love it, but wanted a FR layout and something newer and more safe because i am a big person kind of. want a ND now since it is newer, safer, and telescope steering wheel.
currently drive '15 wrx. 50/50 on keeping it when i do get a chance to buy a ND.
Check out my BRZ video if you haven't seen it yet :) I mean I have my reasons as to why I moved on to the S2000, but in terms of safety you will not beat a modern coupe. ND is rly cool but it's even smaller than the S2000 and the NC IMO..
@@REVlogue weight reduction. you mean a smaller car or small cabin? there is telescope steering wheel now. i want a smaller car cause it is easier to drive and more fun and weight reduction. better fuel econ and car take less of a beating. i rather strip weight before adding minor power, but still able to daily so i can enjoy the car.
i was considering brz or si, but wanted awd or rwd stock turbo, but i love convertible now.
Wearing a mask while driving.. end video.
Too much footage showing your face. (Way too much footage, in fact). Not nearly enough footage showing the S2000.
