    Hey, I just started going for therapy and sessions have gotten so intense. I stopped eating things that I loved to, I stopped watching series, I stopped doing any productive work. My brain has completely shut and things I used to do for myself - like watching Netflix , reading , cooking or even munching on snacks. All these have stopped and I'm sitting with my phone and staring into it thinking what do I do. I have replied to every friend ka message, i have finished talking to all my close friends. It's like I have hit this slow mo button. With no one to talk to, nothing to do. I see your video notification and for once, I felt myself again. Some dose for my mental peace. Thank you so much. Always looking forward to your podcasts. (Thanks to bawa, I reached out to a therapist because of him )

What you need to do is find a working proxy of torrentz2, search for the movie, and get the torrent that with the title- Live from Baghdad 2002 fasamoo LKRG. It’s the only one that’ll work properly. Glad to help!

    You didn't mention "Jaane bhai do Yaaron" in Indian films dealing with journalism! It was iconic and super funny and still remains one of the best comedy movies from India.

  • @phanikrishna41
    @phanikrishna41 4 роки тому +86

    Aaron Sorkin has the most amazing writing sense when it comes to Journalism. When Will Mcavoy says "People no longer choose the news they want, they choose the facts they want" This is the fundamental paradox in the current situation of news. Opinions are no longer based on facts rather its becoming the other way around. Aaron Sorkin on the Newsroom showed the true struggles of a newsroom. As far as India is concerned, I honestly believe Shekhar Gupta is the most unbiased journalist out there. Also we''re to blame as we as consumers also are looking for entertainment even in news. God the fourth estate is falling and falling fast. May the fourth estate raise the level of debate . I would love to know who are the conservative reporters who you respect. That was one thing I think you could have touched upon in this podcast but as usual great work guys. May the fourth estate live long and be the dark knight of a democracy for many years to come.

    I am very upset at the absolute degradation of Indian journalism over the years. In the 90s and some extent even early 2000s, news media was enforcing checks and balances to the government and society as such. They were as important as the judiciary or the legislative branch of governance. Today, Indian media has unfortunately turned into a mouthpiece for political gain, no accountability whatsoever, and wear their nationalism on their sleeve. Instead of well informed debates, all we see are shouting matches all day. I used to admire journalists in my youth, some of them were my idealistic heroes. Today, their word is worth lesser than the electricity used to run my TV. Arnab Goswami, the one guy who single handedly created this devolution - May you rot in hell.

    Byline Chicago June 11, 2020 - 56 year old "uncle" reporting. I guess I am the only one of your viewers who gets all of Neville's references like Dr Narottam Puri (who was an actual ENT doctor in real life and a sports broadcaster) and can actually stump him with even older ones like Salma Sultan, the most morose looking news reader of all time on DD. Btw, Varun the name of Woodward and Bernstein's source Mark Feldt was Deep Throat named after the most famous porn movie of that era. And in the original Karz it is Raj Kiran reborn as Rishi Kapoor. One good Hindi movie on journalism was the 1986 movie "New Delhi Times" starring Shashi Kapoor and Om Puri.
    Great to see your generation still excited by good objective journalism in this post-truth era. Another excellent show boys. Keep reporting...

    From the consumers' POV the challenge is to select specific news to focus on. We are being bombarded with so much information that selection of specific news in itself a challenge.

      Neville and Aadar do an IG live on Thursdays (sometimes) where Aadar acts stupid and Neville gets angry

    I've loved & always looked forward to TISS but this episode was quite chaotic, especially in the parts where Adar & Kautuk were arguing with Neville. Maybe the topic itself is such the people tend to get intense & the argumentative, or maybe its just me.
    Will be looking forward to the next episode.

    Varun you guys forgot u mention about what happenend to journalists in the 'EMERGENCY', the word you were not able to remember. So just talking about one side of everything makes u no different from the other side or the word u people like to say' bhakts'. And btw i dont remember any pm going to the border or even near to that so before comparing it to the 'fakewar' just think twice about it. Manmohan singh use to give even a normal speech behind a bulletproof glass shield. Here we are talking about our army and if him going is boosting their moral than whats the harm and you people might not see it but the world has seen it and indians have seen it. Why always see bad in him. Apprecite whats really good ane appreciate when he is doing the stuff which no one from 'ur fav' people dared to do.
    Btw i am a huge fan of ur show😊so just this

      These comics are so called liberals.. Calling it a fake war is not only insult to the PM but also to the soldiers. But you know what they say, if you spit hatred about a famous/liked person that's the best way to get publicity or likes. That comment by Varun was a disgrace
