Thanks Tim, this video is special :) A woman is piloting this plane, and I have a special respect for the SydSquad mgmt team and also the members that treat women as equals. Kudo's A special shout out to Cpt. Emily Sidoti - You go girl. On a special note - Qantas' needs to do more with putting women in the Pilot's seat and earning them a place at the table...not the same old same old - the glass ceiling needs to be broken for good - then everyone wins.

This is an awesome achievement for anyone. She is an amazing woman and what a stunning landing in difficult conditions yesterday. It was her first landing as a Captain into her hometown of Sydney.

It sure was! We were informed by her and Emirates this was her first A380 captaincy service to Australia. Perhaps flying with you, she was an F/O. Seems like she became captain in September. Cheers!

She flies for a proper airline with a worldwide reach.
That is great the video that just shows how far humans has evolved from women not being able to do anything to them being the first woman crew to fly a emirates plane
It wasn't an all female crew, a male voice from the aircraft acknowledged the ATC landing clearance.
She was the captain and she was landing the plane - the other crew were male and it was the first officer talking to ATC
