I think fraud and scams are so pervasive that you actually asked the question about what we think. I understand you’re trying to provoke comments for the algorithm, but you should’ve just asked for them. She should be forced to return the money and do at least 20 years in prison. This anything goes, zero consequence, no accountability society we’re morphing into is a recipe for a disaster. Personally, I’m disgusted by the direction this country has taken. We need to be focused on honor, integrity, kindness, and those who possess them. Those are the qualities that are going to promote a more harmonious and productive society allowing the opportunity for progress and prosperity.

However unlike Pokémon, people will move around freely based on life events. I had a WaMu bank account in college because I liked the way the bank handled things and was more welcoming. I work in higher ed. When I heard about this all I could do is chuckle about how every last new thing that comes out of the tech sector is basically someone attempting to insert themselves as a middleman into some already existing process while providing little actual value. FAFSA applications are guided by financial aid counselors that are specifically employed by any given school to help students along with the process. They're specifically on the payroll to help students figure out how they're going to pay for college. This isn't just about processing paperwork. When I heard the numbers that this woman was putting forth, I just laughed. You're talking about a fundamental paradigm shift off of an established pattern that's been going on in universities and colleges in the US for decades. The only reason people listened to this woman in the first place is because she comes from a finance household in NY and went to Wharton. That's it. That's the bit.

*Someone or persons on the due diligence team at JPMorgan may have had a conflict of interest, to put it nicely, with Ms. Javice & company ... I'm sure JPM investigators are looking into that.
*Secondly, something that is always a red flag for me: Ms. Javice & her company Frank did not have a Wikipedia entry. Every blurb about her & her company online appeared to be fluffy PR, no simple, clear factual citations in the public domain, which should have been there since they were apparently seeking customers from the public. It looked fishy. And last I checked, still no Wiki entry now that she is a bad news story. It should be out there. Seems a deliberate attempt to hide necessary disclosure.
