Ryan, this was a dang good video. I always appreciate when creators move beyond vague hype statements ("Story is king!").and get into specific details about what to do with that. And now I have a new book to check out as well!
Fantastic video! I find myself overthinking the story sometimes. When I do it’s usually me ivercomplicating what the story is. Or like you pointed out in the beginning, I get stuck on thinking in cinema/film terms instead of all the other ways we can tell a story. Your vid is refreshing and the book sounds really interesting, might pick it up! Thanks for the inspiration and keep crushing it 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Ooh, man! Don't know how I missed this one. So good! And definitely something I'm trying to figure out myself for UA-cam specifically, too. Gonna have to check out this book.
What styles of video do you create?
Interested to know how many people are doing traditional narrative driven films!
I produce tutorials showing beginning TV reporters how to write dynamic news scripts.
@@TVnewswritingtips that sounds really interesting!

Thanks! Yeah I’m hoping there’s some good clarity there 😊
Definitely check out the book, it’s a relatively quick and easy read
