1. Make your own decisions
He was raised by his mother in the Greenwich Village and Little Italy areas of Manhattan.
2. Have a devil-may-care attitude
His father lived within walking distance and De Niro spent much time with him as he grew up.

He made his stage debut at age 10, when he played the Cowardly Lion in a school production of The Wizard of Oz.

#3 Follow your passion - sounds standard for a video of this type but De Niro said in a way that I always talk about but I rarely here from others, and he said a lot more in those few sentences that I needed to hear. He could have forgotten his trials and tribulations sitting at the top but his humanity got him to give such a daring speech. I am an artist (who paints in code and more) and I have succumbed to it. My path is clear but not easy. Thank you Evan and team for making this video and thank Robert.

Evan Carmichael - what Robert De Niro said about listening to others to spark your interest which gives you that motivation to move forward. I actually have felt that with my mentors in my field of sales. But what I do that is different I put my customer service skills to work for me which helps me meet the total sales which I need.

You know Deniro from about 1973 - 1993 was one of the actors of our time. Just incredible, never see another of his ability most likely at least coming from New York City. All the people who supported his career, I can tell you many if not most as an audience back then, were liberals, conservatives, democrats, republicans and middle ground independents.
It killed me... not 'kills me' ... because i already went through this with this guy years ago...... that he is who he is in real life. He is just a SHILL liberal who really says nothing to back up his stances, in referendum to those who pay him his box office check per film.
Robert Deniro shame on you.
You were once a childhood hero, my bond with my parents talking about your great work in the past, my parents telling me all the films they saw of yours growing up in in nyc in the 1960s and 1970s, but you really haven't made a decent film since Cape Fear 1990 let's be honest.
That said, Robert Deniro is over. He is just a real estate developer now who signs on to do garbage walk through films for $15 million a pop. Robert Deniro works for and will say anything for the STUDIOS who employ him. Its ok though Robert Deniro I have moved on some years ago and found new heroes and new inspiration, I'll be just fine.
