      The value of "s" taken by asutosh sir is zero for normal building. And the gust factor is fixed for a normal building. The value of the G is also shown fixed in GSDMA DOCUMENT calculation WO7 !!

    Sir for calculating K2 factor you are using formula from 6.4 and suggesting to use the table 2 alternatively, but the min. Value for K2 for category 1 is 1.05 and you are getting 0.7 for 52mts, so please clarify.

      In case of Rigid structures when you are not using Gust factor and Design mean wind speed.

    Hi. Great job..I have a doubt. If along wind direction is in +ve X direction then across wind would be in +ve or -ve y direction?

      During wind load, we consider the directions in terms of angle.. so if along is 0 (+x)degree then across will be 90 (+y) degree direction.. if along wind is from 180(-x) degree direction and across will be in 360 degree direction(-y).....

    Hi at one place there was difference in natural frequency was found so u told that it is stiffness based model then u took some other exam model. I could not understand that please explain a bit

      We need to consider 2 conditions basically, Service condition and Ultimate condition ..and it can be by assigning appropriate property modifiers to the structural elements

    Turbulence intensity is not same for all height for a particular terrain catagory it will change with variations of height ,so r value will also change in each story level

    Vh,d in G Gust Factor calculation you have considered height as variable. it should be fixed value for building height h. Please reply

      When design wind speed is variable with height then how wind gust gonna be the same? There are basically 2 approaches.. if u finding total force to the structure to be applied at Top most story then u take all max and calculate Gust factor and force... if u r applying story lvl forces then it will be the same as shown.

      you used h as variable in calculation of SIZE REDUCTION FACTOR 'S'. the formula has Vh,d. Note h. it is note z or s@@ilustraca

      In etabs while designing, many beams fails in shear, o/s etc. Pls mk a video for same. Especially short span beams between column/ walls. Then need to design with steel beam theory, bit uneconomical..pls give sm economical soln for same in etabs or RCDC

      Mass participation has nothing to do with stiffness modifiers.. Stiffness modifiers are used to take the cracking affect into account under specific loading criteria. Modal analysis is for understading the fundamental vibration pattern of the building and modal mass participation tells what percentage of total seismic mass is vibrating in each mode. We had detailed discussion on the same. You may find it in our UA-cam channel.

      Mass participation depends on your geometry. How can you say this that it's nothing to do with the stiffness modifiers. You will get different results for both cracked and un-cracked modifiers bro.

    In most of the cases the frequency would be lesser than 1 only for the first mode, where it comes under the second criteria whether it is necessary to do dynamic wind analysis for all the building.....

      For across wind you calculated the turbulence intensity, for that , in terrain category 4 you used 0.67 *z but the 0.67 is not mentioned in code. Whether it is correct or wrong
