I love how nobody even stops to consider that the trailer is edited in a way that makes it feel campy and light. People, editing is everything. This may very well be way darker than it looks from the trailer. So stop bitching and wait until it releases.

Julianne Maria Prades rememeber that Richard Ramirez is a real serial killer, and he never massacred a summer camp in 1984, but if this is ahs and they want to rewrite history that have already done that plenty

I hope Cody fern survives, but only because I think they should switch it up by having a male character survive. At the end of every season a female character is always a survivor. Murder house: Constance

Coven: Multiple witches
Freak show: Angela Bassett's character and bett and dot. I know Jimmy survived in the end but that was only because they wanted to go for a fairy tell ending this time around.
Hotel: Iris
Roanoke: Lee
Cult: Ally and Beverly. Oz survived but we all knew he wasn't in any danger.
Apocalypse: The witches again.

I'm going to guess the plot twist will be that Emma's character ends up being the real killer but the show will make you think it's some mental dude that escaped a mental hospital until the very end of that season when everyone finds out that it was really Emma's character. But that's just my guess.

I think it was kind of imitating that early 80's look of horror films. Most of the color on trailers is just for the trailers, I guess they'll do something like AHS Apocalypse color wise.

Exactly... Actually I feel like the entire show is becoming a parody. Shame... despite some obvious flaws, the first seasons were really good in my opinion. But the last seasons... I mean Cult was soooo bad. I liked that Apocalypse revisited previous seasons and I enjoyed parts of this installment but some episodes/characters/storylines were just completely dumb and over the top. And now this trailer for 1984... looks more like Scream Queens than AHS to me. But of course, I will watch it all... that's the power of Ryan Murphy !

And even though it started in '78, Halloween with the whole escapee mental patient and Dr. Loomis-y guy.
They said before the trailer was released that this season was geared toward the 80s horror fans which is a pretty bold step from the "real life" inspired twist they put on their seasons. Sure in Freak Show we got a taste of the movie "Freaks" but both that movie and the season were based on real-life circus freaks.
This horror movie aspect is going to have to be very well played to be as big a success as the first 3 seasons, especially if they aren't incorporating any real life serial killers or murders from the 80s.

I hope Emma will play a nice girl instead of a mean girl this season. It will show how versatile she is as an actress after playing several mean girls in AHS.

The only way to know if you actually like something or not is to watch it, not to base your decision on a trailer.

I wasn’t as tuned in as I normally would be from the first episode but I’m so glad I decided to watch this season. After coven, this was definitely my fav!

@HotGirl Productions I'd be seriously disappointed/surprised if they stuck to the classic horror flick/Friday the 13th structure. There's always a twist in AHS.
I feel like it's gonna go the "sleepaway camp" direction where the nice girl ends up being crazy. A couple years ago there was a horror camp series on freeform that ended in that fashion as well. We shall see though.

ONLY BAD THING IS THAT IT LASTED FOR 9 EPISODES ONLY
I absolutely LOVED this season, not my favorite because of all the stupid resurrection stuff with Ramirez and Jingles, but it easily is in my top 3!

I love AHS and it looks like it’s going to be good, but it just won’t be the same without Sarah Paulson in it. She makes AHS for me, and I always looking forward to her being in it, I’m really sad she won’t be in it this time.😔😔

I'm glad she isn't. For one thing she has other projects and wouldn't be able to give her full attention to her performance. For another I don't want to hear her screaming for ten episodes again

For all of you saying this looks bad give it a try, has that Friday the 13th feeling which is great to be honest, this looks better than cult and hopefully great 80’s soundtrack to it, and we know Sarah Paulson will make a couple of appearances in it, and Evan Peters just wants to take a break from a season he’s been in all 8 seasons, this still has a great cast.
Daylin Martinez I actually enjoyed cult a lot I loved the whole political take on it and enjoyed Kai’s conservative side and and the whole cult thingy, idk I really liked the whole theme/look/atmosphere about it
Here's hoping he still does one really fast appearance dressed not unlike Quicksilver because that's very time period appropriate.

This trailer is dreadful. I have a feeling that the show is gonna suffer by not having a solid, more experienced actor to ground it. We'll see.

If you watch season 9. You might think that it’s comedy and ironic. Later you will realize that it was all about betrayal, anger and grief. This made me realize that some people turns us into evil specially those who we trusted but they break our hearts.

...nobody is going to point out the fact this has the same title as George Orwell’s novel “1984”?
everyone is pointing out how stupid this season is gonna be instead. and there are plenty of entertainment mediums and other shit with the same title. Doom the crust punk band and Doom the game, Legend with Tom Cruise and Legend with Tom Hardy, Oblivion the movie and Oblivion the elder scrolls rpg, RPG (Roll playing game) and RPG (rocket propelled grenade) and so on. But this season should be retitled "AHS lets cash in on 80's horror nostalgia because we are creatively bankrupt". Really missing the Murder house/Asylum days
Connor Scully I think it’s more indicative here though because 1984 is arguably a horror novel. It would be interesting to see how they’d incorporate a totalitarian dictatorship into this though lol

I prefer the more darker strange AHS like house and Hotel, not really a fan of the slasher films, but it looks like there is barely any of the original cast left.
