All african goverments can help their people, they just dont. And thats the misery of africa. And there is always someone throwing other excuses aswel to gaslight or gain virtue points. Especially now with african countries, once again, giving their resources away for free to a certain asian superpower who in return build cheap roads and hospitals wich are also laced with spyware.
Africa needs to help itself, become itself and govern itself. And acts like these with wells are one way to do it. The goverments of africa need to say " we can do that aswel".

I’m going to guess that it’s a poor country, therefore the government has little money, there is likely some corruption reducing money even more, then there is an entire country to help. They can’t build wells in every village, they just don’t likely have the money or resources.
Bear in mind, this is only two wells in two villages now. It’s amazing for a UA-camr, but is small in the grand scheme of things

It’s insane how even a relatively advanced town like that with clothing, materials, and electronics can still lack things like water. Few people will ever even come close to what mr.beast and his team do on a daily basis. Truly incredible!

Small things that you can individually purchase at the consumer level are massively more accessible nearly anywhere than infrastructure projects.
Even big american or european cities can lack water. We just don't think or care about it...
Especially if one minds the personnel/engineers & technology is there to make water happen (trucks, drills, concrete, taps, people who can do the job, etc), but nobody supports it...

I'm from Cameroon and I have to say thank you for this amazing work, however it shouldn't distract us from the fact water projects have been set up by my government many times and have always failed to execute because of very corrupt politicians at the top serving their best interest. My mom works in one of the ministries in Camerron and is the 4th ranked to the minister in her ministry and they haven't been able to execute any projects in the last 9 months due to the funds never showing up plus their salaries and bonuses get delayed for 6 months to years in some cases. So you can tell the corruption startes from the very top. It's sad this is the world many Afrcans live in not because we're poor but because of corruption, so thank you Mr Beast for doing the governments work because the leaders have embezzled all the money.

Yeah same here. All his videos are like 10-20 min long. Even the big projects like Squid Games. I get why he does it, tons of people have short attention spans or just want to watch a quick video but he should release a longer version on like a different channel, for people who want to watch a longer version of said video.

One thing I love about mr beast and this video is that he actually talked to the residents in the area. Many times charity’s will show of the citizens almost in a self righteous way. Making the people look like charity cases rather than people. As an African I find this video very touching

I feel like mr beast is the only guy who actually makes a difference, first by cleaning some beaches, then a whole river, now building wells. This guy, with enough support, can do anything

Huge props for what he's doing, it's having an insane impact. This isn't criticism but just a grain of reality. His teamseas was great, but it didn't do very much. More waste has been dumped into the ocean the very next day than the entire operation cleaned up. Not to say it's in vain, just being aware that the issues aren't going away from one time solutions.
These wells for example solve the issue temporarily. At some point they either dry up or break. One could only hope by then there's a stable political climate that's able to invest into renewal.
This all to say; while these things make a big difference on a smaller scope. It also highlights the importance of a basic level of government to sustain these improvements.

This is wonderful to see. Finally someone actually doing it and not those horrible scams you see on TV where they ask for money that's suppose to go out to those in need but they never actually get it. Companies like that need to be hunted down and disbanded. Innocent children suffering because of someone else being selfish and putting that money in their own pockets. I'm glad to see this kindness. I hope someday to be able to do something like this as well. It's a dream of mine so I'll continue fighting until I see such a day. ^^ Keep up the great work.
