I got one of the custom 00-15m with a deeper body! Similar to this one. Amazing guitar with a warm, woody, and big sound(more controlled not a canon!) I love all-mahogany martins. Inspiring playing guys!!
I love my '67 00-18. Very slightly larger, obviously different top material, but an absolute workhorse for travel and studio work. Great playing, you lads! I'd pay to go to a pub and listen to you both play for a night! 👍🔥❤🍻
Watching this video is so amusing because of the contrast between Pete's enthusiasm and Ben's gentle reservation. We feel that Ben prefers dreadnought and spruce top :) But I fell for Pete's enthusiasm and actually bought one, and this was even before this video came out as he had done some private demos on this channel. The guitar is everything that is said here: super easy to play, has a complex tone, which does not break-up even if played a bit more heavily. It is so simple that it will never go out of style, and I love it!
Man this is a seriously amazing music video, ben gets right crazy when he starts letttin loose. i came here for info and left rejuvenated with music in me!
I bought one of these from you guys about a year ago. Stands up to guitars four times its price. It does everything well, intonates perfectly, and is so comfy. It sounds especially good with the Martin retro monel strings. I can also attest to that lovely polish that the satin forms after many hours of playing.
I have custom Martin 0000-15m and i love it! That guitar can do it all! Nashville guys love the 0000/M size for session gigs because it is so versatile.
I had this guitar in my hands! I was close to buying but opted for a Taylor instead. I had a Martin in my mind as I was buying for my 40th and wanted something to mark the occasion. I’m a novice guitar player though and found the 214ce Dlx much easier to play and still sounded great. If I already had an acoustic I think I’d have grabbed this for something different. I’ll own a Martin one day😊
Brilliant playing on those nice guitars! I had to double check during the outro whether that was some Howie Day live recording kicking in (similar vibe though he's building those complex songs with a looper) or Ben and Pete still having fun...
@@1MilkmanDan1 just a quick note for others scrolling, there are not any vintage or new 0-15 that have either of those. The difference between a modern 0-15 and a vintage is in basically three ways: a different style bridge, a different number of frets that also changed the soundhole position, and different cosmetic appointments
Ben is so nice to listen to. Also great demo player, as he perfectly show the character of the product. Every guitar in his hand sounds different. Great addition to team. And pleas, ask him, to grow his bear back, hahaha :D (just a joke)
Cool. I have the tenor version of that. A 1955 0-15T . We inherited it from my wife's grandfather, the original owner. it's mint condition even the original case is in great shape. It's great but I never play it.
First like 👍🏻 I installed the lr bags M1A pick up in this guitar and is amazing, but when I plug It into a looper sounds like far sound. Do you know why? Hello from Mexico 🇲🇽
I'm guessing these are sold out? Man I'd love one. Looking at the 000-15m but id rather the 1 3/4 nut width. Also looking at the taylor ad22E but they don't seem to be in Europe or Ireland yet

Might have been done deliberately to clear out end of year stock! I've been eyeing one up for a while, had a 000-15m for a bit but found the nut width too narrow. Ah well.
Just wondering - is it worth replacing the plastic bridge pins for some made of bones? If so, where can I find them for sale in the UK? (Just saw some on Ebay but they don't look legit)
I own a small Acoustic Guitar and its made by Tanglewood (Crossroads ) sounds and feels lovely, open pore finish , and cost 99 quid. It dont feel or sound like it.
Those are made of sapele (called ‘mahogany by Martin’) and 1.1/16” necks. These are Honduran mahogany (called ‘genuine mahogany’ by Martin) with 1.3/4” necks - hence the price difference.
@@ricjoorg Can you share where you found that information? Martin’s website says ‘Solid mahogany top sides and back’ for the 00-15M and 000-15M. There is no mention of Sapele anywhere. And every guitar dealer I have spoken with says it’s solid mahogany as well. Sapele is not mahogany, it’s different. So that would be false advertising if they are claiming it’s solid mahogany and it’s not. Martin’s website lists the 000-10E as Sapele, so it seems strange they would list the 000-15M as Solid Mahogany if it’s Sapele also.
@@ricjoorg I appreciate the info. I just called Martin because I was planning on buying one of these but got spooked when you said it’s was Sapele. The Martin rep said the 00-15 and 000-15 are 100% Mahogany. They said they disclose all wood used on all guitars, and have a search filter for any variations, including Sapele, HPL, Siris, Ziricote, Myrtle, etc. So the 00-15 and 000-15 have no other woods used in them except mahogany. If it’s all sourced from one country, then they will specify that, such as Honduran mahogany. Those are usually a couple hundred dollars more. If it is sourced from multiple countries, then it will just say solid mahogany. So the 000-15 may have its mahogany from Africa or Asia or Central America since it is not specified, but it is all solid mahogany.
I'd been underwhelmed by mahogany-topped guitars because the first ones I played were dreadnoughts. That size is not where mahogany shines. In my experience, small-bodied all-mahogany acoustics have a very sweet sound that you just can't get from other guitar sizes and tops.
Hopefully since there is only about half as much Ben in volume since last year and yet every bit as much talent Andertons is still paying him what he deserves.
I was just in guitar center for a few hours playing every acoustic they had (a d-28, d-16, a few Taylor's, but no 15 series martin), and I had the most fun with a little dirty thirties series 7 (seconded by a mahogany parlor sized Alvarez). It didn't hold tune very well, but it had the most unique woody sound that inspired me in a way that nothing else did. For a $200 guitar I should have just bought it without hesitation. if I put another $100 worth of upgraded tuners and nut/saddle on it, it would be a great addition to my guitarsenal.
I actually prefer a gig bag too, and so do a lot of people. Hard cases are annoying to carry and take up a lot of space. In a city centre apartment these things matter.
I chose Taylor over Martin,I actually have both martin and Taylor's and I don't think Martin even comes close to the Taylor guitars,I think Martin guitars are way overrated you buy the name, Taylor you buy the name because they are absolutely the best guitars you can buy or have,My opinion and my experience,Like I said I like martin guitars but my love for Taylor's is to me are my favorite guitars and I've owned many many top brand names.
Taylor's have no soul. Their playability is excellent, but there is no signature sound. Martin and Guild blow Taylor's out of the water regarding tone. Taylor is like the PRS of the acoustic world, there's no signature sound.
Watched this twice just to hear Ben and Pete jam acoustic. They should record together.
That outro is ridiculous!! That should be available on Spotify
There’s as much respect for the player in that room as there is here outside the room…..Bravo gents There is magical enthusiasm between you two

Ugh!
Are they doing a 2023 run of these? Thanks.
Funny, when playing acoustic, I used to rest my right foot atop my left, too. This is the only guy I’ve ever seen do this beside myself. 🤔
Just got the 000-15SM, 12 fret version. It’s a beast.
I knew you had one ,saw the short video way back, was hoping for this later version. Thanks 🙏 to use a favourite word Pete ..Epic !
