i actually agree with serra on the tingyun take, a lot of times i tested tingyun vs ruan mei and my team with tingyun cleared on the same cycle and sometimes even i cycle earlier, for my ratio pela comp when i use tingyun instead of RM i actually get 1 cycle faster most of the time, same thing for seele
Tingyun with DDD is such a perfect synergy with her and makes it possible for her to keep up in the meta in faster cycles.
Tingyun is best in slot for those two characters in particular, she's definitely underrated if people think otherwise

Speed is very important in turn-based combat. There were even a few times my Asta cleared faster than Ruan Mei despite the smaller buffs, just out of the increased attack frequency, so I can see Tingyun in the same boat both for speed, advance or energy reasons. RM is absolutely amazing, but she's not the Jesus people usually think.
The meta is really weird . Abundance unit who does decent dmg. Harmony unit becoming pseudo dps . Preservation unit becoming a sub dps / debuffer(based on lc) . A Nihility unit that powercrepts all dps and does literally opposite of what nihility characters supposed to do.
The nihility part is wrong. It LITERALLY does what nihility is supposed to do: not care about anything lmao.
Ad the only way to make comps other than hypercarry valuable in this game is to make other unite able to do many things, like in genshin where eve healers like jean can contribute damage, or Baizhu creating dendro cores
12:02 facts, cleanses are legit garbage cause if the enemy already delayed the fuck out of you with the debuff, there's 0 point of the cleanse... characters that allow you to have a better chance of resisting the effect in the first place like Aventurine and Fu Xuan (tho I will say that Aventurine's effect res buff aint doing shit in this current MOC 12) are much better

youre thinking of attacks that directly delay your action like those from the everwinter shadewalker for example
@@delulu_soupI think he's talking about negative effects such as prison or freeze. Cleansing prison is useless, unless you want to ult or make any passive action such as follow up or fuxuan passive because your acción is already delayed to the next cycle, no matter if you cleansed or not.
And in most scenarios, if you have a good sustain, it doesn't really matter if they cleanse or not, my fuxuan just ate a shit ton of debuffs from the robot in moc 12 and she sustained just fine 🗿
@@mirei9225 yea...imprisonment directly delays your action which makes cleanse kinda redundant against it, but cleansing freeze is still useful since it only skips your characters action when they take a turn
for the most part cleanse is still useful to get rid of dots or control effects like alien dream

some people run her with 160 speed and that one lc with advance forward... it lets you have 2-3 turns per cycle... thats 2-3 skill points, and its enough for full ULT uptime. Just never use the skill

I don’t have any built FUA units, Aventurine can reach 4K defense + ER Rope without signature easily and his follow up attacks regardless of damage adds to his shield…
(Plus I guess GS forgot completely about trending 4 star LC that gives you a debuff every time aventurine gets hit in an Acheron team)
As someone who has both HuoHuo AND aventurine. Both without signatures, Aventurine has been wayyyy more comfortable considering shields themselves are like bonus HP.

If u run def/spd/def/er its definitely not easy to reach 4k def on aventurine, even with trend or day one lc. I have tried and it will never get me to 4k even with high def substats on non def mainstat pieces. It's always gonna be something around 3.6k to 3.8k at best. Now IF his technique got him a permanent def buff, that would be a different story but I can't count buffs that only last for a short number of turns (unless maybe for 0 cycle)
Trends LC is not that good on Aventurine cause he doesnt have any form of increased aggro in his kit. He only gets hit consistently by aoe attacks and even then, since he doesnt have any effect hit rate unlike Fire TB, Gepard and March, he can also fail the dot application unless the cone is S5.

he doesn’t need speed? I just place him in the second and third spot and he constantly reinforces the shield. What I did was invest in his traces.
@@Haze4743 no no trend is perfect for aventurine in an Acheron team specifically. That way every time he gets hit Acheron gets her debuff. Adding to the fact that he also applies debuff in his ult hence why I gave him ER rope.
Edit: as in for aggro that’s never been a problem if you place him in second or third place, a lot of enemies attack multiple characters at once anyways.
There's literally a meta to characters with shields right now. And healers other than Gallagher Hoyo are not needed. Therefore, the fact that HouHou in such conditions can maintain a high place in the target lists is in itself a lot of good. Sooner or later, Aventurine will also face such a fate, when the content will not be so convenient to hold and someone new will take his place.

Completely agree about Aventurine. He is THE comfort sustain for ANY content while also contributing sub dps. As for Bladie, he stays A bc he simply doesn't put out great damage even with giga amount of investment. Period.

balde is SUPER DUPER consistent dmg, if u run him with jingliu or sumn, he is SUPER DUPER sp efficient and the amount of dmg he does per sp is insanely high. if you need to slap on one character in a team, just slap on blade and let him do his job YEP. He currently doesn't have any harmony buffers that buff hp or sumn for him so he's kinda ehh now

Keep in mind HMC is T1 at E5, so she should go higher the moment we get access to E6 because not only does it mean she does more dmg and reduce more toughness but also helps a ton for her energy recharge you can check prydwen they talked about how goated her E6 in detail.
I like Smack and I agree with a lot of his takes but his takes with Aventurine often make me feel like he has something against the peacock lmao! It makes me wonder if he's doing it on purpose to piss off Aventurine mains. Glad MrPokke pointed out about trend. With Acheron alone, Aventurine/Fu Xuan are objectively better than Huohuo as they can run trend, significantly increases Acheron's stacks, and resulting to more ults. They also provide crit value as well. Huohuo's atk% buff is the only thing she can provide to Acheron (and cleanse ofc, but the 2 also give effect res/cc immunity). Her energy is only for allies (which, don't get me wrong, is huge as well). I do think Huohuo is really great, but she can't prevent one shots and she doesn't even have that "emergency button" like Luocha and Bailu. And she's not that sp positive esp with enemies that have so much debuff. Her cleanse _for me_ is what I really love about her. But I still think Aventurine and Fu Xuan are better than her, sustain-wise.
Bro tell me about it, this crazy Hyperbreak with HMC and Ruan Mei is a new kind of fun especially in MoC when you know what to expect. The only thing I can imagine that makes this comp even more OP is a character that can implant imaginary weakness specifically, because imaginary break is perfect for Superbreak
Pokke's Segment on the triple harmonies was really good bro actually cooked ngl, Being Universal is nice but almost NO ONE who plays hsr can play every team comp even if they wanted to, so ruan mei's value tends to be artificially inflated to be way above the other 2 harmonies when it rlly ain't the case, that being said her value is still higher just not as inflated as it is usually said, this is also the logic i believe prydwen applies.
these tier lists make no sense anyway, there are so many nuances to each unit such that every team is going to prioritise and tier units differently from one another.

Fun fact about Black swan, when you use her ult and her arcana stacks count as all DoTs, any DoT character that can detonate their own Dots will also detonate ALL of Black swan's arcana stacks while also increasing their number. That's why when you see sampo luka or guinaifen on swan teams they tend to pop the fuck off randomly. And that's on top of having def shred built in. I genuinely think she's a Dot enabler just like kafka but just in a different way, quite literally in the opposite direction. kafka detonates everyone's dots, swan lets everyone detonate her own big damage dots INCLUDING THEIR OWN.
Side note, Guinaifen isnt as good as sampo and luka purely because her ability to trigger her dots isn't as frequent as theirs. Also fire break is very bursty, its dot is weak compared to wind and physical so she's also not as good as them for sustained damage. note i did not say bad, i said not as good.
I wish in the Prywden tierlist can change with taking Eidolons and Sig LC's to account, like how if you click a button boom all 4 stars are at E0 and the tierlist changes.

I see harmony mc moving up to tier 0.5 either after boothill gets released, after the new 2.3 break dps relics get released or when people get them to e6
super break misha is actually pretty good for ice weak fights he has good break in his kit and his bounce ult stacks up hits for super break kinda like hmc skill and since you want to skill a lot with hmc it works well for stacking up hit for misha
I dont think people need superbreak but I feel like it brings a unique playstyle where youd be able to run certain teams that otherwise wouldnt work together, personally I'm running the Luka superbreak team and having alot of fun
I feel my account is pretty good. In a yr I've spent 200bucks. I went follow up since the start. Clara is awesome. My Silverwood gets ult every 2 cycles. Sometimes more if I get hit. I have the cone from event though, not sure if that helps.
Topaz will ALWAYS be my favorite char bc the fact her reg atk is considered follow up is so fun I'm Sim and gears. Shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot again get all your skill points back with that hunt/elation mix
Black swan was a mistake for me not having Kafka.
You don't need Kafka for black swan. Guinaifen works quite well with her as well. I run swan, guinaifen, ruan mei + support and there's a good amount of red/green weak enemies in MOC that comp works really well against. Like the monkeys are all red/green and I think the dinosaurs too.
Something I found about about Superbreak, if you superbreak with ANYONE with acheron on the team, she will get a stack Edit: after some comments I realize that was my bad and it most likely only works with characters that can inflict dot on basics on break such as huohuo

you may just either be seeing last MoC's turbulence as adding on, or the fact that breaking an enemy literally applies their respective break debuff which counts for Acheron.
General Super Break triggers do not give her stacks
Everyone would be talking about this if this were true. However, I think what you were seeing is characters doing their regular debuffs (dots, def shred etc) and thinking that's from super break, or what the other person who commented said already, breaking enemy weakness which almost always applies a certain debuff to them. Super break by itself, when enemies are already broken, does NOT apply any debuffs so Acheron shouldn't be getting stacks off of them alone. There HAS to be something else you've missed

@@aurochus I'm not sure how you arrived at the conclusion that it's somehow Huohuo specific, nothing about Huohuo's kit inflicts debuffs. The Acheron stack during break comes from the debuffs applied by the break. Every break inflicts a type of debuff, so Acheron basically gets 1 stack per breakbar broken.
@fredxu99 oh I edited the main post to say it works with characters that inflict dot on break like huohuo, as she inflicts wind shear on break

Once the harmony supports banner ends, and the next banners dont have harmony supports. Imma see my bronya spike up in usage again. Bronya cant be paired as good as the other three for that reason tho

I agree with Sustains tier. If we take the general definition of "sustain" then Aventurine and FX is better than Huohuo. She is a SP neutral unit and to save SP you need to know when to use her skill. Not everyone fits her playstyle despite how big of a value her ER and ATK% buff is. This is why I stand on my argument that Huohuo is more for sweats / advanced players. Casuals will prefer Aven and FX due to ease of use

My only issue with Super break is it doesn't seem like it really scales in deep Gold and Gears. It's like the toughness bar doesn't scale as hard with the extremely high HP of bosses in there.

The break meta is going to be the strongest meta yet in HSR this statement will age like wine if we have an abundance and 4* casually hitting 200k even hitting highs like 400k from vids I've seen is absolutely crazy and boothill hitting 600k easily is a a testament to how OP break teams can become

depends on your aventurine's def and lightcone. you sound like you have more than 4.5k def or have very heavily invested dps
I highly disagree outside of FuA teams aventurine does need to use his skill here and there in end game content unless you get insanely lucky or have e1 while you basically never use luocha's skill to heal only in rare instances where you use it for the cleanse

Probably but he can't mention leaks in a video. Even the slightest mention could get his channel struck. Leakers do it but they play with fire every time.
About sustain, i feel like aventurine and fu xuan are good in opposite scenario, Fu xuan is the best sustain when it comes to boss that deals big single target dmg where aventurine shield would be pierced. Meanwhile aventurine is incredibly good against anything that deals aoe dmg, where fu xuan could risk being 1 shot.
As for huo huo, she's god tier at helping your team not get cc, which against some boss, aventurine 50% effect res or fu xuan 1 times immunity is not enough. But she's bad against ennemies that could 1 shot you, or against ennemies that have a lot of speed (or when group of ennemies all attack togheter, not giving you a chance to heal) so in term of sustain she's overall worse than the 2 others

Argenti 180 Ult does usual high Ult break + 6 BOUNCES, and it's Physical so 2x break mult, Super Break with him is bonkers.

The issue with that plan is where do you fit the other 2 supports he needs. He needs Tingyun + some one to speed him up (hanya, bronya, sparkle). Otherwise that 180 energy Ult is not going to go off very often. You'd have to give him speed boots and lose atk% in that scenario as well.
Superbreak does not get element bonus, all types are x1 for superbreak calcs.
It ain't all that, but it's some extra damage nonetheless. Element doesn't matter for super break, his skill only deals one unit of break, the ult takes long to recharge. If anything he loses less from 90 ult spam now.
But the problem is his ult take too long to charge
My favorite part about Smack is how he can't go 20 seconds without insulting his own community because he gets 1guyed over and over and over. Totally not insecure at all.

My argument for Kafka is if you ran DoT pre-Black Swan, you needed two of Sampo/Guinaifen/Luka/Serval to make Kafka work optimally, meaning you had one free slot for a sustain or a support. The team still did a lot of damage, but did require a lot investment in your 4-star units' eidolons and relics. But it did work well.
Now if you want to run DoT and you have Kafka and Black Swan, Black Swan is as good as 2 4-star DoT units and you have invest in one Black Swan versus 2 separate 4-stars. And Black Swan doesn't require eidolons and frees up an extra team slot in DoT Kafka. It just made Kafka's team comp easier to build and easily stronger. Kafka didn't need Black Swan, but Black Swan easily made Kafka team comps braindead easy to build~~~

From my experience superbreak feels very bad on characters with no BE convertation(Xueyi) and especially bad if without ruan mei. Boothill probably will be good without ruan mei, with HMC only, because Boothill has that convertation.

I don't have kafka or black swan, but yes, I understand the argument that kafka is better since she will age better w ith dots. Pretty effing sure hoyo will make better dot dpsers than black swan over time. Less sure they will make dps who synergize with other dot comp dpsers like black swan. They MIGHT. But, very less likely to IMO.
Huo huo is right where she belongs, healers are just worse than shielders/damage reductors simply because one shots are a thing, your frail DPS with no defensive stats WILL GET ONE SHOT in the hardest content of the game, so if you want to sustain they're not always the best option regardless of what else they do.

somepeople don't even use the characters yet ranks them, If i use an E2 clara with S2 blade weapon, the E0S1 argenti so outdamages her, its an insult not just talking about them on the same therm, but even THINKING about clara being stronger,
In the current meta, we want speed we want the enemy to have no turn (mostly because they hit like meteor), clara's entire dmg comes from enemies turn, and the enemy only have a few amount of turn we can't control that, and if we don't have E6 clara and she have a hard time getting her ult, you can pray for her being targeted with tingyun on the same team, and she deals the best dmg when there is 3 units getting hit by her follow up
Argenti is a nuker, without ult, he is dead, BUT unlike clara, his dmg will count, if there is 5 enemy, and his dmg is 400k, all enemy will distribute that dmg (not evenly tho), if there is ONE enemy, he gets all 400k, and he needs speed, more speed, more action point, more dmg, wich can be done by other with like: tingyun,bronya,sparkle
I don't even wanna talk about blade/welt, blade just casually, stronger than clara no matter what (i know because i have both, and i have builded them both), and welt, bro with super break wich needs the enemies to be BROKEN FOR A LONG TIME, who the f#ck is the best if not welt? when ff comes out and he is not on the A tier we know this ranking is cap and much more on the side of character likeness (i never seen anyone healing better than bailu ngl, if you build her to be ultimate focused, she will be sp+ and probably very tanky with 2k heal on her ult (mine does so build yours better too skill issued), and lnyx with the slighty less heal but not last, can do it too as f2p AND with cc res

I still think lynx is still way better then bailu. For example this new MOC. I cant get under 10cycle if use bailu since debuff cleanse is so good to stop delaying debuf etc: sleep and such.

What makes E1S1 topaz so good is she gets 3 debuffs for Ratio at E1S1 for Ratio to have 100% follow up. E0S0 Topaz has 1 debuff for 60% for ratio follow up
Topaz needs investment if you gonna play her in FUA with Ratio thats just how it is. Current FUA team is very expensive and not FTP friendly

Asta, Hanya, and Yukong being tier 2, and no one being in tier 3 does NOT defeat the purpose of a tier list. Just because a rank exists doesn't mean it has to be filled. THAT is what defeats the purpose of a tier list. Hanya as a hypercarry support gives 30+ raw speed, 70% attack and 40% damage bonus on top of having a 60 break unit skill that GETS SPAMMED. As a physical character i'm surprised that its as overlooked as it is. Break + Speed hanya builds go fuckin insane. Even more so in the upcoming HMC and break meta, she fits into the meta herself while giving buffs relevant to the meta such as speed.
Asta is in the same boat in terms of break potential and relevant buffs, a fuck ton of attack, a fuck ton of speed, high toughness bar damage and a fire character = strong breaks. Her only down side is that if you arent fighting fire weak enemies, then she needs at least 3 enemies present to keep up her buff. She makes insane use of the memories of the past, as does Hanya so they also have access to a LC with break effect on it.
Now Yukong is a bit different from the previous two, I consider her a specialist for burst damage teams, teams that do higher chunks of their damage at a specific point. To an extent the generic dps character works like that. Take Seele for example, skill's every turn, ult's every two to three turns, the turn where she ult's can be considered a burst damage window. But the real burst dps's are people like Argenti and Jing yuan who do massive portion of their damage every couple turns. Her high 80% attack buff is good enough for sustained buffing leading up to the burst window, and she herself is capable of dropping decent nukes every 3 turns.
Her buff covers two out of the three characters turns in the team, and if speed tuned correctly can cover the enemy turns as well. Uptime is not an issue if you know what you're doing with her, though she'll fall off once all 3 other members of the team start dealing damage, which we're seeing now with Aventurine.
All three of these characters have their own reasons to warrant them being in Tier 1 or 1.5 MINIMUM.
Lastly i've seen this argument that some characters are ranked lower just because better alternative's exist. How the fuck does that work? a character's strength is their strength regardless of who's stronger. If you rank an A tier character C tier because there are 7 other characters who are S tier, what's gonna happen is when a viewer sees a character they like and want to find out how good they are, they see them at a deflated rank instead of their actual rank. And end up deciding not to play a character that they would've liked. Instead they play a character you tell them is better, have way less fun, and what? They get a 1 cycle instead of a 3 cycle?
Yall need to be careful with how you make tierlists, keep the use case in mind, these don't exist in a vacuum and you have to account for the fact that anyone can and will be picked regardless of how many are better

After watching the whole video I don't think GS really understood what the niche tier list was for. Welt and other units in that tier are in fact good. In their very specific niche's. They aren't generally good which would put them in Meta tier list. I think the addition of separarting over powered, meta generalists, and Niche characters along with defining the tags they're applying really upped the tier list quality

I agree with the sustains, I think HuoHuo one of the few sustains that gets value in every team. Imo Huohuo>FX>Aventurine for utility, I think Aventurine sustains well and can be a sub dps. Fu Xuan sustain actually isn't as good as it was on her release but can still solo sustain in low cycles just fine, and HuoHuo being the best of the 3 can sustain really well, infinite cleanse, energy and attack buff that a lot of teams like besides Blade.
Its just about the tier list criteria. Sustain are rated for their sustain capability only, and Huohuo is the worst of the three in raw sustain to trade for the strongest buffing capability. Aventurine and FX are stronger sustain but has weaker buff in return. She's a MoC/PF orientated healer where you're not quite ready to move to 0 cycle/sustainless but don't really need much raw healing or emergency healing.
people acting like aventurine without his sig lightcone is strong. his best f2p option is probably gepard's LC. running universal trend on him barely gets him to 4k def where you kinda need to spam his skill.
@@dumpsterplayer5133 yeah in terms of just sustaining I think Aventurine is the best, and I actually don't think FX sustain is that good anymore. Enemies have been doing more and more dmg, especially with the release of moc 12. I have 9k hp 136spd Fu xuan and even she can't full sustain more than a few cycles, usually its fine since I clear in 4 or less cycles with most teams.
My fire mc solo sustained acheron team in first half and u having trouble with 5* sustains? Sounds like skill issue
