Bishop was probably the 1st black Marvel superhero I ever heard of. My sibling was obsessed with Bishop they had his solo comics and everything. Glad that he's coming back.
In the original X Men cartoon as a kid I figured he was Arabic because of his long straight hair
apparently he's of australian aborigine origin. didn't know that...

I remember reading an X-men comic where Bishop is sitting in the snow, reminiscing about his sister. Allnthe while slowly absorbing the energy from ever snowflake that lands on him. That's when I realized just how awesome Bishop's powers are
1. Yes, Bishop is one of the coldest characters in X-Men PERIOD.
2. Yes, more short form videos like this would be great.
Lucas Bishop is a self-fulfilling prophecy. He and Cable constantly play a Cat-and-Mouse game for Hope Summers' life, only for both to be ensuring that Hope grows militant. SURELY that won't lead her to becoming a monster with a misandrist complex.
I loved the way they portrayed Bishop in X-men 97. You could really understand his motivation and how badly he wanted to fix things, despite having bad or incomplete information on how. Also sentinels from X-men 97 were so damn iconic, would love an episode on them.

Besides wolverine , bishop was always one of my favorites. I used to collect the cards .
Yeah I would love more videos like this. Especially of all the obscure mutants in Xmen 97. I mean the Venn diagram of people who are stoked for that show. And people who watch your channel is a circle.
Bishop was always my favorite because of this cartoon and he never got enough love in live action! Dude was a real cowboy from the future, plus his conflicts with Cable and beyond were incredible strories!
Marvel's second greatest dial down after Rogue in this reboot is the fact that they didn't give us Jeri Curl Bishop
There was power in the curl my dude.
It would've been peak!
Then again, they changed Morph's appearance to match how he's appeared in the comics over the last couple of decades too so it's probably not that surprising they'd update him so fans who haven't seen him since the mid-90's would recognize him if they saw him in comics or other media.

Bishop was my favorite character back in the day. Mostly because I loved his picture Joe Jusco did on those 94 Flair cards. Still my favorite cards to this day.

Rob please do indepth explanations of characters it's one of the things I think people want more of. It's one thing to tell a story but characters hold more than one story which makes it a bunch more interesting as you are told their progress and change. Love this video though if this is something you're up to do I'm more than willing to throw a like and share

That’s why Hope is dumb af. Her entire character sucks. Messiah stories suck, looking at you matrix revolutions, and the phoenix story is tired and used more than palpatine. Hope has both types, and she ruins near all characters she touches. I hope xmen 97 stays far away from Hope.

I love how Whilce Portacio originally made Bishop's ethnicity as Filipino and Marvel asked him (because of a letter requesting more Black characters) to make him African American. Whilce obliged and there you have it

Hope Summers falls into the Layla Miller category. A plot device girl that was built up as something big and then they ran out of ideas for and never got a resolution to.

Bishop is one of my favorite Mutants in the X-Men comics. Watching X-Men the animated series is what introduced me to Bishop. He's a powerful character.
If they introduce him properly in the MCU, Michael Jai White should be casted as Bishop.

Would Bishop benefit from having a vibranium suit, or have vibranium fused to his skeleton. Vibranium has the ability to be charged up and then release the energy, so Bishop could use it as a type of battery, one to give him a bigger cup so he doesn’t explode, but also to have as an energy reserve if he needed it.
That is an interesting idea. I wonder why none of the writers have thought of that.

humans in the marvel world are so awkward... theyre constantly told that mutants are the next step for humans, and somehow think that they aren't human... But like, they totally are. Theyre the same specie. Its a fear thats never made complete sense to me.
I understand it more when its framed as fear of beings with godly powers. that makes sense. Fearing evolution makes no sense. Eventually youre likely to have kids that are mutants and so over time wouldnt everyone be mutants and that would just be fine?
